Itinerary
- Day 1
Kathmandu to Chyamche
Your guide meets you at the hotel at 6:00 AM for a private transfer to the bus station. The drive to Besi Shahar takes about 5-6 hours covering 185km, passing through landscapes with snow-capped mountains, green hills, rivers and small villages. From there, you'll continue by jeep or local bus for another 3-4 hours to Chyamche/Dharapani, traveling through Nagdi, Bhulbhule, Sange and Chamche with views of Manaslu and Annapurna II showing up along the way. You'll settle in at a tea house for the night.

Chyamche to Tilche/Gho
After breakfast, trekking starts from Dharapani with your guide checking permits at ACAP and MCAP checkpoints. You'll cross a bridge over Marsyandi River and head along Dhudh Khola on a wider trail toward Tilje. There's an option to visit Pyakane Cave (30 minutes west) or Tamrang Gompa (about an hour from Thonche village) if you're interested, which has Buddha statues and religious scriptures. The route continues through river banks and oak-pine forests with Gurung villages scattered throughout. By evening you'll reach Tilche/Gho at 2,515m and stay at a tea house.

Tilche/Gho to Bhimtang
Your hike today goes through subtropical jungle and rural villages with agricultural lands and herds of sheep, cows and yaks. You'll pass through Karche at 2,700m and cross a bridge to Yak Kharka for lunch. After lunch the trail gets steeper, and you'll get your first view of Mt. Manaslu (8,163m) before reaching Karche. Continue walking through jungle with bird sounds and a ranging river beside you until you arrive at a small valley at Bhimtang (3,590m). Overnight at a tea house.

Landmarks Mt. Manaslu - Day 4
Bhimtang Exploration Day
This is the main day of your trek. After breakfast, hike around Bhimtang (known as the 'bowl of silver' for the white mountains surrounding it) carrying personal gear and water. You'll visit Ponkar Lake, Nayamlo Lake, and the Ponkar Glacier. From the viewpoint above Ponkar Lake, you can see multiple peaks including Manaslu North (7,157m), Lamjung Himal (6,983m), Larkya Peak (6,249m) and several others. The trail heads north for about 3km to Dangboche Kharka at the foot of Larkya La, walking over moraine with views of three glacier junctions. You return to Bhimtang for another night.

Bhimtang to Tilje
Trek down through fig tree and rhododendron forests, rocky river beds and sliding hillsides passing green villages. This is a long day (7-8 hours) but very scenic throughout. You'll arrive at Tilje, a larger village with a mix of Manangis (of Tibetan descent) and Chettris (Hindus) and distinctive local architecture. The cuisine here includes Dal Bhat, buckwheat Dhido, Tsampa and Tibetan salt-tea. Stay at a tea house.

Landmarks Tilje - Day 6
Tilje to Kathmandu
An easier trekking day lasting 1.5-2 hours, following Dudh Khola through bamboo forests down to Dharapani where you'll see ACAP board marks. Walk through the atmospheric Tibetan village of Thongje with prayer flags at the gomba. From Dharapani, drive by jeep or bus to Besi Shahar (2-3 hours), then continue driving back to Kathmandu (5-6 hours) with a lunch break along the way. You return to Nepal's capital with time to reflect on the trek.

Departure Day
Your last day allows leisure time to relax at your hotel or walk around Thamel. Later you'll attend a farewell dinner at a typical Nepali restaurant where you'll receive your Trip Certificate, Trekking Permit and TIMS Card as mementos. You have free time for last-minute shopping for souvenirs and gifts. Your transfer to Tribhuvan International Airport is arranged for your onward flight.
