Itinerary
- Day 1
Puerto Maldonado
Starting at 9:00 am, you'll head out on a boat tour along the Madre de Dios River toward Amazon Mount Lodge. Once there, walk across a canopy walkway that sits about 30 meters up, which gives you chances to spot toucans, macaws, and various other bird species throughout the forest. After the walkway, there's a treetop challenge course where you'll do zip-lining among the trees. By afternoon, you'll kayak across the Madre de Dios River and stop at Monkey Island to see capuchin monkeys in their habitat. The day wraps up with a return to Puerto Maldonado around 5:00 to 5:30 pm.
