- Jane· November 4th, 2024There were a lot of glitches associated with the trip. Most were beyond the control of Poseidon but it made it rather a challenging trip. We lost several days in South Georgia which was very disappointing. Flights to the Falklands & back were problematic, arrived at the airport only to be told the flight was cancelled. We had to pay for a nights accommodation & lost a day of the trip. There was no rep from Poseidon to help us regroup. Then once we arrived in Stanley, we didn’t even start for South Georgia for 3 days due to weather. What should have been an intensive South Georgia experience was no better than a trip that included Antarctica. It seemed that we spent 1/2 the trip traveling. Intensive South Georgia trip it was not!Show more
