- DJDana· March 14th, 2023I chose this trip primarily for the Holi festivities and this did not disappoint. Outside of that, it was average at best. Amazing India tours uses 3rd party tour guides at every city; therefore they really have no “brand” or connection to the travelers as to what their interests are. They literally show up, rush you through temples and forts regurgitating history and architectural facts then leave for the day. Really no cultural experiences, they only take us to certain shops where they likely receive a commission and berate us if we want to barter elsewhere for cheaper souvenirs. Don’t get me wrong, the tour guides were “ok”, there was just no connection. Everything they rushed us through and told us, i could have read on monument placards and gone at my own pace. As far as the company itself - also average. I asked several times weeks (even >1month) in advance for estimated costs that I would incur that weren’t covered (entrance fees, etc), I received these literally before i was boarding my plane. And then upon arriving in country they give us a recommended tip sheet, with quite inflated tips from what i had researched at several online sources, even a local commented that those were “quite a lot”. Would have been nice to have this info earlier when i asked for budgeting purposes, they just assume all tourists can cough up any money requested. There was no overview for the day or following days plans and what we might need/expect so we could be prepared (visiting temple so bring socks, wear appropriate clothing, we won’t have time for lunch-be sure to eat breakfast or bring snack, how much money we’ll need for the day etc). Hotels were average. I don’t have a problem with 3-star, but if you advertise hot water and AC then you should have it. If you have a huge menu and that is the only option we have to eat, then you should have more than 2 items on that menu available. The itinerary advertised that breakfasts would be incl, we had to pay for one. Had to pay full price for 2 “partial” hotelstays (one of which i only had the room for 4 hours, didn’t even spend the night. Usually there is a reduced early-checkin/checkout fee only. Holi was fantastic! Internet availability was good. Our driver Faruq was exceptional.Show moreTrip date: March 2023

Asked on January 22nd, 2024I was wondering if you would do a Holi Celebration trip to Mathura Vrindavan in March 2025 from New Delhi and then back to New Delhi where we would pick up our tour for the Tiger Reserve? we would like to shorten the tour to just visit the Holi Celebration in Mathura Vrindavan.
- Amazing India ToursOperator•Written January 2024
