Itinerary
- Day 1
Kathmandu
You'll land at Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport and meet your Sherpa Expedition & Trekking representative who handles your private vehicle transfer to the hotel. After checking in and getting a trek briefing, the afternoon is yours to explore. Head into the Thamel tourist area or wander around Kathmandu Valley to see what catches your interest.

Landmarks/POIs Kathmandu Valley Thamel - Day 2
Kathmandu to Chame
Early start from Kathmandu with a jeep ride to Besisahar, then continue on to Chame (3 to 4 hours from Besisahar). The route winds through terraced farmland and crosses rivers with views of snow-capped Annapurna and Manaslu mountains. You'll pass villages like Sange, Bhulbhule, Nagdi, Chamche, Tal, Dharapani, Bagarchhap, Dankya, Timang, Thanchowk, and Koto along the way.

Chame to Lower Pisang
Follow the Marsyangdi River on foot, starting with a stop at Bratang. Continue to Chemyau Kharka where a memorial honors Japanese climber Akira Ochiai, then trek through forests past Dhukur Pokhari to reach Lower Pisang. Head up to Upper Pisang for acclimatization purposes, then return down to Lower Pisang for the night.

Lower Pisang to Manang
Trek from Pisang into the upper Manang region and make your way to Braga, a distinctive Tibetan village with houses stacked one upon another. Here you'll find Manang's main Gompa, the largest Buddhist temple in the region. The day offers views of Mt. Chulu and Gangapurna, and Manang serves as a popular acclimatization point for trekkers.

Manang to Thorong Phedi or High Camp
Start with a steep climb through snow-covered juniper forests to reach Ghustang, then the trail becomes easier as you head toward Yak Kharka with views of Annapurna II, Gangapurna, and Tilicho. From there, a short 1-hour trek gets you to Ledar before continuing to Thorong Phedi at the base of Thorong Himal. Depending on weather, you'll spend the night at Thorong Phedi or High Camp.

Thorong Phedi to Jomsom
One of the trek's toughest days with 8 to 9 hours of hiking at higher altitude and strong winds in upper regions. Along the trail you might pass sheep, yaks, and merchants transporting goods. Reach Thorong La Pass (views of Annapurna, Gangapurna, and Khatungkang at 6484m) then descend about 1600 meters to Muktinath. Later, take a shared jeep or bus to Jomsom for the night, stopping to see Dhaulagiri, Nepal's highest mountain entirely within the country.

Jomsom to Pokhara
Travel to Pokhara by local bus on a 7 to 8 hour journey. You'll pass through Beni Bazaar before reaching Tatopani, then continue on to Pokhara. The town sits by Phew Tal lake and offers city amenities with a relaxed atmosphere. Your hotel is lakeside, so after settling in, watch the sunset over the water and mountains to wind down the day.

Pokhara to Kathmandu
Head back to Kathmandu by tourist bus on a 6 to 7 hour drive. During the journey, there's time to reflect on Nepal's unique culture, the village people you've met, and the geography you've trekked through. These memories from the mountains and communities will stay with you long after returning home.

Kathmandu
Your final day in Nepal. Sherpa Expedition and Trekking will take you to the airport at least three hours before your scheduled departure. As you board your flight home, you can already start thinking about your next adventure back in Nepal.
