Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival
You'll arrive at the airport where your tour representative meets you. From there, it's a private car or tourist bus transfer to your hotel, so you can settle in and rest after your journey.
- Day 2
Kathmandu
After breakfast, a guided tour starts at 8:30 am around Kathmandu. You'll walk through major Hindu and Buddhist temples and shrines throughout the day. Later in the evening, you head to historic Kathmandu Durbar Square to check out the architecture and atmosphere.

Kathmandu to Lukla to Phakding
An early morning flight takes you to Lukla with Himalayan views from your window. Once there, you'll have breakfast and meet your porter. Then it's a 3-hour trek through Dudhkoshi valley toward Phakding, passing mountain bridges and scenic terrain along the way.

Phakding to Namche Bazaar
Today's trek heads to Namche Bazaar. You'll cross the Dudhkoshi River five times on suspension bridges decorated with prayer flags. The 5-6 hour hike includes viewpoints throughout. By afternoon, you enter Sagarmatha National Park and verify permits at Jorsale.

Acclimatization Day
This is your acclimatization day in Namche Bazaar so your body adjusts to higher elevation. There's an optional hike through Khumjung and Khunde villages if you're feeling up to it. You can visit the yeti skull at a monastery and check out the world's highest bakery. Evening brings a trip to Everest View Hotel for Himalayan views before heading back.

Namche Bazaar to Dole
The trek climbs above 4,000m/13,123ft elevation today. From the ridge top, you see Everest and Lhotse. You'll trek through rhododendron forests and pass settlements like Tonga and Gyele before reaching Dole, where Khumbila and Tawache peaks come into view.

Dole to Machermo
It's a steady climb along the valley with juniper forests around you. You'll pass summer settlements and grazing areas. Cho Oyu, Kantega, and Thamserku peaks are visible throughout the day. By evening you arrive at Machermo.

Machermo to Gokyo
The trek goes over ridges with views of Cho Oyu and Khantega gorge. You'll pass through Pangram and continue ascending to Gokyo. Later you visit and photograph the Fifth Lake before settling in for the night at Gokyo Village.

Acclimatization Day
An early morning climb takes you up Gokyo Ri at 5,463m/17,920ft with outstanding views of Everest, Cho Oyu, Lhotse, and Makalu. After hiking to the Fifth Lake for photos, you head back to Gokyo for another night.

Gokyo to Lungdeng
You trek uphill through grassy areas with increasingly steep slopes to reach panoramic views. Then it's a descent through beautiful meadows to Bhote Koshi Valley, passing Dudh Pokhari lakes. You may see yak caravans from Tibet along the way. Overnight is at Lungdeng.

Lungdeng to Thame
The hike takes you to Thame at 3,800m/12,467ft where you visit the historic Thame monastery. There you get to experience Buddhist spiritual practices and Sherpa hospitality while resting before the descent.

Thame to Namche Bazaar
You trek downhill from Thame through Sherpa villages, leaving the mountains behind gradually. The walk continues down to Namche Bazaar, the center of Sherpa culture, where you'll stay overnight.

Namche Bazaar to Lukla
It's a 7-hour downhill trek from Namche to Lukla, marking the end of time in Sagarmatha National Park. By evening you're back in Lukla before your return flight the next morning.

Lukla to Kathmandu
An early morning flight from Lukla brings you back to Kathmandu. The mountain views from the right side of the plane are incredible. Once you land, your tour representative transfers you back to your hotel.

Departure
Your tour representative transfers you to the airport for your international flight home, wrapping up your Himalayan trek experience.
