Itinerary
- Day 1
Kathmandu to Pokhara
The drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara covers about 200km and takes between 6 to 7 hours by tourist bus. You'll pass through terraced rice fields and mountain landscapes the entire way. The bus stops for breakfast around 9:00 am, then later for lunch around noon, so you won't need to worry about bringing food. It's a long day of traveling, but the scenery keeps things interesting as you move closer to the foothills.

Landmarks Pokhara - Day 2
Pokhara to Tatopani
After leaving Pokhara, you head out by private car or van toward Tatopani, which sits at 1190m elevation. The transfer takes you through the foothills just north of Pokhara to reach the trailhead. This ride sets you up for the trekking portion of your trip, getting you positioned at the start of the route where the walking begins.

Landmarks Tatopani - Day 3
Tatopani to Pokhara
The trek brings you back down from Tatopani toward Pokhara, taking you through the foothills with Himalayan views showing up throughout the day. You'll walk past local villages and get a sense of the region's natural landscape and communities. It's the main walking portion connecting where you started trekking back to town.

Landmarks Poon Hill - Day 4
Pokhara to Kathmandu
You make your way back to Kathmandu by tourist bus, covering the same 6 to 7 hour route you took at the start but in reverse. The terraced landscapes and mountain views appear again as you retrace your path through the regions between Pokhara and the capital. It's a long final day of travel to wrap up your journey.
