- Day 1
Fez
Your guide meets you at Fez Saiss Airport and takes you to your hotel to settle in. After dropping off your bags, head out with a local guide to explore the city's historical layers. You'll walk through Fez El Jadid and the Jewish Quarter, then enter the ancient Medina through its main gate where narrow medieval streets reveal historical landmarks and busy souks around every corner. Dinner happens back at your guesthouse.

Fez to Merzouga
Leave early by vehicle heading toward Tinghir, stopping to see the Kasbah of Ait-Benhaddou, a UNESCO site with incredible architecture built into the hillside. The route takes you over Tizi Tishka at 11,000 feet/3,353 meters, which separates the harsh Sahara from the greener Atlantic-facing slopes. Grab lunch in Midelt before continuing to Erfoud, where you switch to a 4-wheel drive and mount camels for the ride into the Merzouga dunes toward your desert camp. Later, Rokba drummers perform traditional music and dances under the night sky while you have dinner.

- Day 3
Merzouga to Tinghir
Start before sunrise with a camel ride across the Erg Chebbi dunes to catch the sunrise over Merzouga, then share breakfast with the Tuareg people. From there, travel back across desert roads toward Tinghir, stopping to explore Rissani's adobe Medina and the Draa Valley's oases. In the afternoon, visit the Todra Gorges and keep going to Erfoud to see the Ziz Valley, where red desert landscape drops down into date palm groves.

- Day 4
Tinghir to Zagora
Drive 4-wheel drive vehicles across desert back roads through the Saghro Mountains, passing through Anif and the Draa Valley, which stretches for hundreds of miles with scattered settlements and palm groves. Arrive in Zagora and check in at the legendary Riad, then enjoy a festive dinner at your hotel to end the day.

- Day 5
Zagora to Tamegroute and return
Travel through lowlands and mountain passes to reach Tamegroute, a quiet village where traditional knowledge stays alive. Visit the famous Moorish Koranic Library holding rare books and documents, some from the 13th century written on gazelle hide. Head back to Zagora for the night, having dinner and staying at your hotel.

Zagora to Marrakesh
Spend most of the day driving to Marrakesh, passing through Berber villages and oases along the way. Cross both the Taddart and Tizi-n-Tishka pass at 11,000 feet/3,353 meters as you make your way north. Arriving in Marrakesh, you enter a vibrant city where southern tribes and Berber traders gather, with high mountain backdrops creating a dramatic setting for the medina and surrounding landscape.

- Day 7
Marrakesh
After breakfast at your hotel, a local guide leads a full-day walking tour through Marrakesh's main attractions. You'll see the Menara gardens, the Koutoubia Mosque, city gates and ramparts, the Bahia Palace, and the crowded Jemaa el-Fnaa square filled with performers and food stalls. Browse the souks for any last-minute shopping, then return to your hotel for a Moroccan dinner.
