  • 11 Days Golden Triangle with Varanasi and Village stay reviewer 1
    · April 16th, 2024
Not the dream holiday I hoped for. When I first booked I was charged an extra £300 with really no explanation as to why and when I asked it was replied with cost of hotels and trains, while the hotels were nice I wouldn't say they had suddenly gone up in price because all hotels were fairly quiet and train tickets in total only came to less than £40. I signed up for a group tour to arrive and find out I was alone. I should of been given options in regards to this. Tour wasn't very well organised. After a 11 HR overnight train journey and a 4 HR car trip to Agra the hotel was not ready for me to check in despite discussion with the organiser the day before who said it would and then the following day when questioned he simply replied with check in isn't until 12. Breakfast was also not provided on this day as per itinerary. Tour was not well organised. Some activities offered on the itinerary were not offered on the trip such as dinner and dancing on the last night in Jaipur, camel carting in Tordi Garh and a few other sights. Had to push to be guided on one of my days in Varanasi as the tour guide had rushed through everything and then said it was done. Trip to Tordi Garh was long and had to go from breakfast at 8am till dinner at 7:30pm with no eating. Spent a lot of time in hotel rooms which atleast were nice with comfy beds but I didn't go to India to see hotel rooms. Most guides were good and the drivers were great too particularly Mr Amlesh who I had the majority of the trip. The guide in Agra was terrible, lied to me for more tips and completely ruined the experience of the Taj.Mahal. first stop was him taking me to someone to take photos and pay for.it after refusal he didn't let me breathe throughout tour and kept saying "sit photo" rather than actually having a moment to enjoy the place. I had to ask him "what is the Taj Mahal?" For him to actually tell me about it. There are plenty of tour companies in India this is not one I would choose.

My friend and I went on this tour together in Jan 2020 and we loved absolutely all of it. The hotels were great, mostly clean and great service. The tour guides allocated were also good and informative. We were especially happy with our driver for the majority of the trip, Deepak. He was very friendly, always on time and helpful. Really loved the experience in Tordi Garh too, it was really special. The entire tour was very well organised and we were happy we booked with them.
