Itinerary
- Day 1
Marrakesh to Dades Gorges
Your driver picks you up at 7am from your Marrakesh hotel and takes you to Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You'll spend time walking around this historic location before heading into the Rose Valley toward Kalaat M'gouna and Boumalne Dades. The drive takes you through different landscapes as you make your way to the Dades Gorges. By evening you'll have dinner at your Riad there and settle in for the night.

Dades Gorges to Merzouga
After breakfast at your Riad, you head out to walk through the hillsides around Tinghir, moving through this narrow valley with its steep rocky walls and stream running through it. From there the drive continues past beautiful scenery from Tinghir toward the dunes of Merzouga, passing through Erfoud along the way. Once you reach Merzouga, you'll climb onto a camel for roughly an hour riding through the dunes to reach the camp. You'll watch the sunset from there, and later have dinner under the sky while enjoying traditional Moroccan music.

Merzouga to Marrakesh
Wake early to see the sunrise over the desert, then have a hearty Berber breakfast outside the camp while taking in the desert atmosphere. After a camel ride back through the dunes to central Merzouga, you'll start driving back toward Marrakesh, going through Rissani and Ouarzazate with stops for rest and meals along the way.
