Itinerary
- Day 1
Colombo/Negombo/Mount Lavinia to Mud House
You'll get picked up from Colombo, Negombo, Mount Lavinia airport or hotel and head to Mud House, which takes about 2 hours. Once you arrive, you'll check in and settle for your first night with full board included. During your stay here, there's free access to locally guided activities like picnic trips, temple visits, bird watching, nature trails, lake kayaking, historical sights, and cooking lessons.

Mud House
After breakfast, you'll spend the day doing activities with the Mud House crew. What you do depends on what's available that day, but options include picnic trips, temple visits, bird watching, nature trails, lake kayaking, historical sights, or cooking lessons. Lunch and dinner come with your overnight stay.

- Day 3
Mud House to Wasgamuwa National Park
Following breakfast, you'll head to Wasgamuwa National Park, one of Sri Lanka's least visited parks and a spot where you might see rare Sri Lankan Sloth Bears. You'll check into Lavendish Wasgamuwa Safari Lodge, then in the afternoon take a safari through the park to see the wildlife and plants. Half board is included with your overnight stay.

- Day 4
Wasgamuwa National Park to Mahiyanganaya to Galoya Lodge
After breakfast, you'll visit Dambana Vedda village in Mahiyanganaya to meet the indigenous Veddha people (about 350 families still live there). You'll learn about their traditions and cultural heritage. Then you'll drive to Galoya Lodge where the afternoon is yours to relax, with an optional guided nature walk if you want. Half board with overnight stay.

- Day 5
Galoya Lodge to Tree Tops Jungle Lodge
You'll wake up early for breakfast, then take a 2-3 hour morning boat safari on the water, which is the only way in Sri Lanka to spot wildlife this way. You might see elephants swimming or bathing at the lake. After a 40-minute drive back, you'll transfer to Tree Tops Jungle Lodge in Buttala. Half board with overnight stay.

- Day 6
Tree Tops Jungle Lodge to Chena Village Experience
After breakfast, you'll travel by tuk-tuk to Chena village where you'll get a traditional welcome drink. Then you'll do village activities like picking fresh vegetables for lunch, take a 2-3 hour boat safari spotting birds and wildlife, eat a traditional lunch, plant a tree, hike to a viewpoint for herbal tea, and watch the sunset by the lake. You'll return to Tree Tops for the night on half board.

Buttala to Ella to Haputale to Adisham Monastery to Belihuloya
After breakfast, you'll take a scenic train from Ella Railway Station to Haputale, then walk through tea plantations, jungles, and villages to reach Adisham Bungalow, a monastery built by Benedictine Monks on an estate from 1869 surrounded by misty hills. After exploring, you'll be driven to Belihuloya and Tree House Chalets for the night. Half board with overnight stay.

Belihuloya
After breakfast, you'll take a guided walk through Belihuloya village with its paddy fields. The paths are unpaved and muddy with possible leech bites, but you'll meet villagers and learn about their life. The afternoon is free to relax. Later you'll walk to a natural waterfall on the property for a swim in the rock pool with mountain water, though this involves a short challenging climb. Dinner is a BBQ on the roof terrace. Half board with overnight stay.
