Itinerary
- Day 1
Hotel to Lukla to Phakding
You'll depart from your hotel and head to the domestic airport for a 35-minute flight to Lukla's small airstrip. Once there, you'll get organized and begin trekking down to Choplung village. The route follows the Dudh-Kosi River and valley, and you'll reach Phakding for your first night.

Phakding to Namche Bazaar
This is a long walking day with altitude gain as you cross a river and pass through Sherpa villages to reach Monjo. From there, you'll enter Sagarmatha National Park and walk through rhododendron, oak, and pine forest. The peaks of Kongde, Kusum Khanguru, and Tharmarserku come into view as you continue to Namche Bazaar, the main trading hub with lodges, restaurants, shops, bank, and post office.

- Day 3
Namche Bazaar Acclimatization Day
You have a rest day at Namche with clear views of Everest and surrounding peaks. In the morning, walk uphill for about an hour to Syangboche and its old airstrip, then continue gradually to Everest View Hotel, the first luxury hotel in the Khumbu area. You'll have wonderful views of Everest, Amadablam, and other high peaks, enjoy some refreshing drinks, then head back downhill to Namche for the night.

Namche Bazaar to Lukla
Head downhill from Namche toward the Dudh Kosi River and walk past Jorsalle to the Sagarmatha National Park gate (Sagarmatha means Everest in Nepali), then to Monjo village. You'll follow the route back to Phakding, and after a few more hours of trekking, arrive at Lukla. The evening is for celebrating with fellow trekkers and staff.

Lukla to Kathmandu
Take an early morning flight from Lukla back to Kathmandu with sweeping views of the Himalayan peaks below. When you arrive at Kathmandu domestic airport, your guide and staff will transfer you back to your hotel. The afternoon is free to relax and reflect on your 5-day trek.
