Itinerary
- Day 1
Tarangaire National Park
You'll start with breakfast before heading to Tarangaire National Park, Tanzania's third-largest protected area. The park's known for massive elephant herds, particularly around the dry riverbeds where up to 300 gather searching for underground water. While you're there, you'll see zebras, buffalo, impala, and gazelle spread across the landscape. The shrinking lagoons and scattered baobab trees create a natural backdrop as you move through the park checking out the different wildlife concentrations.

Ngorongoro Conservation Area to Arusha
After breakfast at your lodge, you'll drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area to see the volcanic crater. This caldera formed two to three million years ago and ranks as one of the world's largest unbroken calderas. The crater floor supports the Big Five plus zebras, hippos, and various bird species throughout the area. From there, you'll continue on to Arusha for the night, giving you time to settle in before the next day's activities.

Arusha National Park to Airport
Following breakfast, you'll visit Arusha National Park, which packs diverse ecosystems into a smaller space. Mount Meru, the main feature, rises to 4,566 meters as a prominent volcano. The park splits into three distinct areas: the Meru Crater with the Jekukumia River in the west, the grassland Ngurdoto Crater to the southeast, and the Momella Lakes to the northeast where wading birds gather around lagoons with varying algal colors. After exploring, you'll head to the airport for your departure.
