Itinerary
- Day 1
Moshi to Momela Gate
You'll drive from Moshi to Momela Gate to handle registration before starting your trek into Mount Meru National Park. A fully armed ranger joins you for the walk through montane forest, and you'll have chances to spot elephants, zebras, giraffes, monkeys, and antelopes as you go. The day ends with dinner and a night at Miriakamba Hut.

- Day 2
Miriakamba Hut to Saddle Hut
This day involves a short but steep climb from Miriakamba Hut up toward the saddle below Little Meru. You'll walk slowly along the ridge to take in views of Meru Crater and the Ash Cone. After a hot lunch at Saddle Hut, there's an optional short climb to Little Meru's summit if you want superb sunset views. Dinner and overnight back at Saddle Hut.

- Day 3
Saddle Hut to Summit and Return to Moshi
Starting very early around 1:30 a.m., you'll climb steeply through Rhino Point and Cobra Point, reaching the summit at 4,566 m in time for sunrise. Weather allowing, Kilimanjaro Peak might be visible above the clouds. The final section follows a narrow ridgeline with dramatic inner crater cliffs and steep outer slopes. After resting and having brunch at Saddle Hut, you'll descend to Momella Gate where a return transfer takes you back to your hotel in Moshi.
