- Day 1
Hong Kong
You'll arrive in Hong Kong and make your way to the hotel (airport transfer can be arranged for an extra fee). Your guide meets you at 6:30pm in the lobby, and from there you'll head to Victoria Harbour to catch the evening lights reflecting off the water.

Hong Kong to Yangshuo
The morning is yours to walk around Hong Kong however you'd like. Then you'll catch a one-hour train to Guangzhou, followed by another two-hour train ride to Yangshuo, a small town with the Li River and Karst mountains all around. Later that evening, you can wander through West Street and see what's there.

- Day 3
Yangshuo
This is an active day where you pick what appeals to you most. Bike out to Yulong River or hike around the countryside if that's more your speed. After lunch, you'll take a local boat on the Li River to see the dramatic mountain landscape up close from the water.

Yangshuo to Xi'an
You'll transfer to Guilin airport for a two-hour flight to Xi'an. Once you land, you're taken to your hotel to settle in. The afternoon is spent checking out the Muslim Quarter and walking along the historic Old City Wall.

Xi'an
A one-hour ride takes you to the Terracotta Army Museum. You'll explore the three pits where thousands of life-sized terracotta warriors and horses sit, giving you a real sense of the artistry and scale from 2,000 years ago.

Xi'an to Shanghai
Early morning flight brings you to Shanghai. In the afternoon, you'll see two major Shanghai locations. The Bund shows you colonial architecture and the river, then you head to Nanjing East Road where all the shopping and activity happens.

Shanghai
You'll explore Shanghai using the metro and taxis to get around. Start at Yuyuan Garden, a classical Chinese garden with lots to see. Then move to Xintiandi, where renovated traditional warehouses create a modern vibe, and finish at the Shanghai Museum for art and historical pieces.

Shanghai to Beijing
A five-hour bullet train carries you to Beijing. Once you arrive, the afternoon is reserved for seeing the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square, two landmarks that really tell the story of imperial and political China.

Beijing
You'll transfer out to Mutianyu Great Wall, one of the more dramatic sections built 600 years ago. After climbing the wall and experiencing this UNESCO World Heritage site, you're transferred back to your hotel.
