- Day 1
Arusha to Tarangire National Park
You'll meet your safari guide and driver in Arusha town for a briefing on what's ahead, then head out to Tarangire National Park. The park runs along the Tarangire River through acacia woodland and giant baobab trees, with swamp areas that draw large elephant herds and other wildlife, especially during the dry season when animals concentrate around the water.

Tarangire to Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast, you're traveling to Lake Manyara National Park and should arrive in time for lunch. The park has a massive shallow soda lake covering roughly two-thirds of the area at the base of the Great Rift Valley's western escarpment. You'll see large elephant concentrations, the famous tree-climbing lions the park is known for, and flamingos that gather because of the lake's algae.

Lake Manyara to Serengeti National Park
Following breakfast, you'll travel through the high farmland around Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area on your way to Serengeti National Park. From the highlands, the landscape opens into the Serengeti's endless plains. You'll arrive in time for lunch, then go on an afternoon game drive in the central Seronera area, which has excellent wildlife viewing and the Seronera River running through it.

Serengeti National Park
This full day in Serengeti National Park includes both morning and afternoon game drives. Your guide will help you spot the park's diverse species, including the massive herds of wildebeest and zebra that move through during migration season. You'll learn how these animals behave and where they live across the expansive plains.

Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha
After breakfast, you'll leave for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and get there in time for lunch. Once you've eaten, you'll descend over 600 meters into the crater for a half-day safari. The crater floor supports wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, and elephants, plus predators like lions, hyenas, and leopards. You'll also stop by Lake Magadi to see flamingos and hippos before heading back to Arusha.
