Itinerary
- Day 1
Hanoi
You'll get picked up at Hanoi airport and head downtown by vehicle. After that, spend the rest of the day walking around the city on your own, checking out the lakes, tree-lined streets, and parks at whatever pace works for you. By evening, your guide meets you again with a bus to take you to the railway station, where you'll board an overnight train heading to Sapa.

Landmarks Hanoi - Day 2
Lao Cai to Sapa
The train arrives in Lao Cai at 5:00am and your guide will be waiting with a name sign. From there, it's over an hour riding uphill to Sa Pa while you take in the views of rice terraces along the way. After breakfast, you'll bike mostly downhill through Sapa's outer areas and Ma Tra village (where H'Mong people live), then continue to Ta Phin to see how Red Dao and Black Hmong communities live their daily lives. You'll have lunch with a local family, then keep biking through forest to Takko pass before heading back to Sapa. Dinner happens in town and the evening is free for relaxing.

Sapa to Ta Van
Start with a 6km walk downhill to the southeast toward Y Linh Ho village in Muong Hoa valley (Black H'mong people), then trek another 2km to Lao Chai village. Lunch comes with a local family, and after that you'll walk through the rice fields to Ta Van village where the Dzay minority lives. You'll stay the night there and learn about how people build their homes and go about their routines. In the afternoon, a car takes you back to Sapa for free time to check out the town on your own. Later, you'll transfer to Lao Cai station, have dinner, and board an overnight train returning to Hanoi.

- Day 4
Hanoi to Halong Bay
Your guide picks you up between 8:10-8:30am from your Hanoi Old Quarter hotel. You'll drive to Tuan Chau Harbor on Tuan Chau Island with a 20-minute break halfway (arriving around 12:00pm). At 12:30pm, you board the Sunlight Legend cruise, check into your cabin, and get a welcome drink plus safety briefing. Lunch serves Vietnamese traditional food while the boat moves through Halong Bay's rock formations. By 2:30pm you'll visit Sung Sot Cave, then around 3:30pm head to Titop Island for swimming and views. Back on the cruise, watch the sunset from the sundeck with cocktails, dinner at 7pm, and activities like fishing and karaoke afterward.

- Day 5
Halong Bay to Hanoi
You wake at 6:00am for fresh air, then breakfast comes at 7:30am. At 8:30am, a boat takes you to Bo Hon Island where you'll visit Luon Cave by bamboo boat or kayak. You'll cruise around until 10:00am checkout. Lunch is at 11:00am while the boat heads back to Tuan Chau Harbor, arriving at 12:00pm. From there, you say goodbye to the crew and board a bus for Hanoi, pulling up to your Old Quarter hotel by 4:00pm.

Hanoi Departure
After breakfast at your hotel, you have the morning and early afternoon free to explore Hanoi on your own. Your driver will pick you up and take you to the airport when it's time to depart.
