- Katie· October 30th, 2024I was in a group of five, at 81 probably the oldest Kiwi Experience participant you've ever had, but had a wonderful time because the group was warm and inclusive. Most of our group was not interested in white water rafting, bungie jumping, or zip lines but we enjoyed the rest. Our guide was friendly, helpful, and knew the countryside very well. I think he threw in a few little extras, lovely trails and viewpoints he had discovered, all close by and all quite wonderful. We enjoyed getting to know each other and parted friends.Show more
 - Bilke· April 18th, 2024The tour itself was really nice and some of the extra activities were nice additions. However, the breakfast options were a bit limited if you can't eat yogurt, eggs or onions. The sleeping options were ok so far but no more. It was sometimes not possible to put your luggage in a room with four people without falling over it.Show more
 - Zoltan· March 4th, 2024I participated in all the optional activities and the tour became one of the best ever. I strongly recommend to everyone to do everything! Don't save your money if you traveled through half of the globe. The included programmes are not enough, believe me. We saw so many beautiful places, especially in the south island. The bus was comfortable, we put the baggages into a separate trailer. The accomodations varied but all in all they were all good. I'll might come back one day!Show more

Asked on July 14th, 2024Do buses stop at accommodations other than hostels?
Kiwi ExperienceOperator•Written July 2024Our main drop off points at each destination are outside the hostel that we recommend. If you wish to stay at an alternative accommodation provider, it would be your responsibility to make your own way to and from that accommodation to the bus. However, you are able to get dropped off at alternative selected drop off/ pick up points.

Asked on March 26th, 2024I booked a tour of New Zealand that was canceled last minute, I would love to join your tour starting on April 5th, but my return flight is from Auckland on the 29th. I'm thinking I could fly back to Auckland when we reach Wellington, if you think that might be possible?
Kiwi ExperienceOperator•Written March 2024If you start in Auckland on the 5th, you'd get back to Auckland after doing the whole tour on the 28th. No need to fly from Welly.

Traveler•Written March 2024there's still availability on the bus departing on April 5th?

Kiwi ExperienceOperator•Written March 2024We have a bus going up to the Bay of Islands on the 5th (which is the stop most people do first), or if you want to save that for the end of your trip we have a bus heading southbound first on the 5th too. Totally up to you!
