Arrival
You'll arrive at Gabriella and Alessandro's farmhouse in time for dinner. After getting settled into Agriturismo Il Feudo, head to the cosy dining room for your first meal and meet your hosts.

Walking to Monte Gemola and Monte Fasolo
Start early with a walk through vineyards and woodlands, then climb Monte Gemola to reach Villa Beatrice. From there, continue on to Monte Fasolo, the highest point around, where you'll take in views of the surrounding area. Later, descend toward Arqua Petrarca with nice views the whole way down.

Arqua Petrarca
Spend the day walking through the medieval village of Arqua Petrarca, which looks much like it did back in 1370. Check out Petrarch's well-preserved house and wander through the flower-lined streets to see 15th century villas scattered throughout the village.

Walking to Villa Barbarigo
This morning you'll walk through shady woodland on a path that dips and rises naturally through the landscape. After the walk, head down to visit Villa Barbarigo at Valsanzibio, a beautiful historic villa with gardens worth exploring.

Padua
Catch the local bus to Padua, the region's second major art city. Once there, see the Giotto frescoes in the Cappella degli Scrovegni and look at Donatello's Gattamelata statue. Later, walk through Prato della Valle, the largest square in Italy.

Monte Rua to Teolo
Head up through olive groves toward Monte Rua hermitage, a good spot for lunch. After eating, follow a woodland path toward the imposing Rocca Pendice, then skirt around it while taking in views as you descend into Teolo, the only alpine-style village in this region.

Teolo or Venice Excursion
Explore Teolo, said to be the birthplace of Roman historian Livy, and see its well-preserved buildings from the Serenissima period. If you want more activities, choose a circular route up Monte della Madonna for views, or take an optional day trip by bus or train to Venice to see St Mark's Square, the Doges' Palace, and the Peggy Guggenheim Museum.

Monte Venda to Cortela
Walk through rows of green vines as you head toward the highest point of the week on the flanks of Monte Venda. Take in panoramic views across the plain toward the Berci Hills near Vicenza, then descend through oak and chestnut forests, vineyards, and olive groves back to Gabriella and Alessandro's farmhouse.
