What people love about touring Kashmir solo
- Leh Ladakh TourGoing to Ladakh was a very special experience and I would recommend this tour highly. The landscape was absolutely spectacular and the blend of history, culture and geostrategic importance was fascinating. My tour with Alkof Holidays was very well organised. I requested an extra day be added to my trip and they organised a day of visits to Hemis and Thiksey Monasteries and Shey Palace. My guide Riyaz was fantastic, very kind and provided me with lots of insights about the region. There are too many highlights to list but the top of the list would be Pangong Lake. However I would note that as a solo female traveler, Alkof Holidays had to arrange an additional female guide for me at cost, so that I could visit.
- Amazing LadakhI had an incredible time on my Leh trip. From the moment I arrived, I felt like I was stepping into another world. The history and culture of Leh are amazing, with plenty of Buddhist monasteries to explore. The hotels were cozy and provided all the basic things, and the guides were knowledgeable, explaining the history of the land. The driver was a pro, especially navigating the tough roads.
- Leh Ladakh Tour - 8 DaysI really enjoyed my tour. This is a very remote area with unique culture and nature. I 've been there at the beginning of April before the tourist season starts, so I enjoyed the absence of crowds. However, nights were very cold, some hotels did not have heating, so hot bottles were my best friends. During the day the weather were beautiful, sunny. I enjoyed snow on the passes we crossed. My guide and driver were excellent. People we met at the hotels demonstrated wonderful hospitality. The tour company that organized this travel experience was very good, professional and responded to all my requests. I was feeling so happy during this trip, in peace with nature and the world ?
