What people love about touring Kashmir solo
- Leh Ladakh Tour
Going to Ladakh was a very special experience and I would recommend this tour highly. The landscape was absolutely spectacular and the blend of history, culture and geostrategic importance was fascinating. My tour with Alkof Holidays was very well organised. I requested an extra day be added to my trip and they organised a day of visits to Hemis and Thiksey Monasteries and Shey Palace. My guide Riyaz was fantastic, very kind and provided me with lots of insights about the region. There are too many highlights to list but the top of the list would be Pangong Lake. However I would note that as a solo female traveler, Alkof Holidays had to arrange an additional female guide for me at cost, so that I could visit.
- Amazing Ladakh
This was an amazing trip! The roads can be challenging, but our driver was skilled and navigated the mountains effortlessly. The most important part for me were visiting Nubra Valley and Pangong Lake. Our guide was friendly and provide history and culture. The hotels were good, with clean rooms. Good use for 7 days.
- In The Land Of Lama - The Great Ladakh Tour
MTA was a phenomenal company, and saw to my every request. As I traveled privately during a surge in the pandemic, there was added stress related with social distancing and testing, but MTA assisted me with finding test sites, transportation, and safe mask expectations. I wanted to visit several northern India sites within a short two week span, but they customized the trip for me in a manner that was action-packed, but not exhausting. The guides and drivers were knowledgeable and professional, and even allowed for me to explore some city sites on my own during free time. My process from start to finish was fluid and exceptional. Yes, I paid a chunk for this trip, but it was worth every rupee. I left feeling completely satisfied with my experiences, and MTA helped make it the trip of a lifetime.
