- joe· October 21st, 2024The actual trip was great but I would have appreciated more scenery and nature stops rather than just mentions that we were passing them Also I didn’t appreciate our guide stating our driver was paid tip money because it was a premium trip but failed to mention she was also given tip money so all passengers tipped her according to the guidelines set out by IntrepidShow more

Unfortunately Italy was experiencing a heat wave and all the walking turned into a lot of sweating ( not your fault ). If in the future we go on another tour... it will be with Tourradar.Show more
- Sam· May 16th, 2019This was my first tour and it did not disappoint. The tour guide, Ivan, and his trainee, Nejc (pronounced Nayts), we’re both incredible. Ivan is Croatian and Nejc Slovenian so they both knew the territory and the stories and history to go with it. Also both lovely guys! The scenery was mind-blowing and each day seemed to better the last. This was the first tour of the season so we did get a few rainy days, but the crowds were much smaller than peak season which well and truly made up for it. I would highly recommend.Show more

As a 40 yr old female solo traveler planning to join in July or August, I'm curious about the typical age range of participants on this trip. Any tips for solo travelers would also be appreciated!

Premium hotels are usually at a local 4-star level. They offer a higher level of comfort, with air-conditioning or heating, Wi-Fi available in rooms, and a pool is generally preferred. We often welcome solo travelers like yourself! While groups can vary, the typical age range tends to be between 30–60 years, with a great mix of backgrounds. Many solo travelers find it's a fantastic way to meet like-minded people and enjoy the journey in great company. If you're joining us in July or August, you're in for a beautiful time of year! My tip for solo travelers is to stay open to new connections, don't hesitate to ask your leader questions, and pack light :)
