What people love about touring Belize solo
- Land of Belize
What an incredible trip. No amount if research will prepare you for what you will experience on this itinerary. My number 1 tip would be JUST DO IT! There are so many opportunities to take risks and try new things and the strength of the group is there to push you forward. The accommodation is really sub par except for San Ignacio. The accommodation there is fantastic! The ATM cave is a MUST. It is very hard work, lots of hiking, swimming, climbing and some tight spaces but the experience is well well worth it. Also DO NOT miss snorkelling in Caye Caulker. We swam with sharks, Manatees, rays, etc. It was my first time and the guides are so incredibly attentive. The major negative would be to be prepared to spend a lot locally. Meals are not included, tipping of guides and drivers is expected and all activities are extra. The only inclusion is free time at Cahal Pech and entrance into Tikal. If you are on the fence DO THE TRIP!

Again, hotel transfer from airport in Houston very poor. Enjoyable holiday and would recommend
What our customers ask about Belize Tours for Solo Travelers
What's the best time of year for solo travelers to visit Belize?
The best time to visit is from December to April. The pleasant weather during these months brings more group tours and fellow travelers to popular spots. This period sees the highest number of solo bookings especially in February and March. Places like Ambergris Caye and Placencia attract many solo travelers during this time with clear conditions for water activities and outdoor adventures.
How safe is Belize for solo travelers on guided tours?
Solo travelers will find Belize quite secure when exploring with professional guides. The main tourist areas like San Pedro and Caye Caulker have solid tourism systems in place. Professional guides lead activities at popular sites like Xunantunich Mayan ruins and Crooked Tree Wildlife Sanctuary. Safety measures are strict for water activities at Shark Ray Alley and cave visits. What kind of accommodations can solo travelers expect on guided tours in Belize?
Tours typically mix stays between hotels and eco-lodges. You might find yourself at Cahal Pech Village Resort in San Ignacio overlooking the Maya Mountains or at beachfront spots like Ramon's Village in San Pedro.
