Our experience was beyond excellent! The accommodation was amazing and the food was outstanding at all the locations. The staff were also all very friendly. We were picked up from our hotel by our guide Simon who stayed with us for the whole trip. He was always punctual, exceptionally friendly and consistently went out of his way to accommodate our wishes. He was incredibly knowledgeable about all the animals and made sure we saw as much as possible (which was a lot!). We saw all the big 5 plus many more rare sights. I genuinely couldn’t fault this trip and would book again in a heartbeat. This trip was a bucket list dream that finally was realised and I don’t think it would have been as good with any other company or guide.

Overall, we were very satisfied with our 6 day custom Kenya tour: our driver, Maxwell was excellent, and other than being an experienced driver and a very good communicator, happens to be very passionate about nature and animals. Nancy, the tour operator correspondent was also very helpful in answering all of our queries in a timely manner. The lodges were generally comfortable and cozy with good meals. The lunch boxes provided, however, generally did not meet my expectations, hence the average rating of 3/5. I rated transportation and itinerary 4/5 not because of the vehicle, which was fine (8 seat 4-wheel drive van) but the road conditions (including dust and truck fumes) and traffic - which rendered the trip somewhat tiring. Given the renown worldwide fame of the Kenya game parks we visited and the revenue generated by tourism (Kenya being a *very* expensive country to visit compared to all other countries I visited in Africa - except Tanzania), I was overall very surprised to see that the road conditions to reach these parks really were in a deplorable shape. This begs the question: why hasn't the tourism revenue generated over the last decades used to improve the infrastructure to reach these parks with more ease [such as railways (e.g., bullet trains) or paved multi-lane roads] ?
