    • Days 1-2

      Bangkok, Thailand

Start in Bangkok with a cycling adventure through Bang Kra Jao, a peaceful network of waterways and villages across the Chao Phraya River. A local guide recommends: "Many visitors miss this hidden oasis—get there before 8am to see monks collecting alms and locals setting up their market stalls." Your second day includes 35km of mostly flat riding with stops at temples and local markets. Pack quick-dry clothes since Bangkok gets very humid.

The next day takes you through rural Thailand to Aranyaprathet near the Cambodian border. Roads are good but stay alert for traffic in villages. Try to cross the border early to avoid long lines.

Get to Angkor Wat by 7am before the crowds and heat pick up. The paths near Ta Prohm can get slippery after rain so wear good shoes. Keep some small USD bills handy for buying things locally.
