What people love about Finland, Norway And Sweden Tours
- From Copenhagen to Helsinki
We love the trip program and love the tour guides. The cruise was magnificent from Stockholm to Helsinki. Hope we can do the tour again next time.
- Capitals of Scandinavia
I was not thrilled with the way Trafalgar sets up their tours. On the first day in each city, we had a 1-2 hour bus ride just pointing out different sites. Then to actually visit most of the attractions in was an optional experience with an additional fee. I would have preferred to pay more up front and had all the important sites and activities included and not waste time just touring around on a bus.
- Grand Scandinavia (Classic)
Excellent tour. Poor follow up by insight management after tour
Travel Finland, Norway and Sweden your way
Our coach tours take in Copenhagen, Bergen, Oslo, Stockholm and Helsinki with clever stops along the way. You'll pause in places like Odense where Hans Christian Andersen grew up, and see Bergen's old Bryggen Quay which UNESCO recognizes as rather special. Our customers tell us they love how varied each day is - maybe you're deep in Viking history at Oslo's Ship Museum one morning, then watching fjord landscapes unfold the next. The drivers know exactly when to stop for photos and time the routes to catch soft morning light at the best viewpoints. What really makes these tours work are the local guides who mix current Nordic life with historical tales as you go.
Our explorer routes through Scandinavia connect Copenhagen, Oslo, Stockholm and Helsinki in a well-tested 13-15 day journey. You'll get a proper feel for each Nordic capital while having enough time to wander off the main streets too. The mix works really well - our travelers love how the guided city walks show them key spots like Tivoli Gardens and Gamla Stan, then they have free time to follow their own interests. Taking overnight ferries between cities adds a nice touch to the experience, though it's worth noting not all cabin windows have views. The group often comes together for local dinners, which turns out to be a great way to try Nordic dishes and chat with fellow travelers.
Select from our extensive range of 29 fully guided tours to enjoy a worry-free experience through Finland, Norway and Sweden with our expert guides leading the way.
The cultural immersion tours across Scandinavia offer exceptional depth through meaningful local connections and insider access. Our travelers frequently mention their visits to Sami villages, where community members share insights into indigenous customs, reindeer herding practices, and authentic daily routines. The multi-week capital city explorations include special entry to Stockholm's City Hall with Nobel Prize ceremony details, plus guided walks through Oslo's Viking Ship Museum. Local hosts welcome visitors for lunch in converted Swedish churches from the 1800s, sharing their farm-to-table philosophy, while other stops feature Uppsala's centuries-old cathedral and Bergen's wooden Bryggen quarter, a UNESCO heritage site. What sets these tours apart, according to our customers, is how the local guides transform each location - from Copenhagen's initiatives supporting the homeless community, to the cultural significance of Swedish fika coffee traditions in Alingsås. The most in-depth cultural routes blend city experiences with countryside encounters, taking small groups to hidden gems like Gammelstad's church village and traditional fishing settlements along Norway's dramatic Lofoten Islands. Adding to the exclusive feel are early morning visits to Christiansborg Palace's royal chambers and guided tours of the Sami Parliament in Karasjok, before the regular crowds arrive.

People really connect on these trips - sharing stories over traditional dinners and helping each other during snowshoe walks near Rovaniemi. You'll get special access to places like Stockholm's City Hall where they hold the Nobel Prize banquet and the Sami Parliament building in Karasjok. The hotels are well-placed, and the coaches come with WiFi. Our guides are particularly good at managing mixed-language groups and adjusting the pace so everyone stays comfortable.
Small Group
6 tours in Finland, Norway and SwedenThese highly regarded Nordic group tours run for 13-15 days across Finland, Norway, and Sweden, letting you discover the region with a small group of fellow travelers. You'll explore essential sites like Stockholm's Vasa Museum and take boat trips through Naeroyfjord, while also diving into authentic experiences like village safaris near Lake Siljan and survival skills workshops in Finnish Lapland. Our travelers consistently praise how the tours balance structured city walks with plenty of independent time to explore Copenhagen's markets or capture photos of Bergen's historic wooden architecture. Winter tours shift focus to Arctic experiences, where you'll drive dog sleds through snow-covered forests, learn ice fishing from locals, and spend nights in distinctive ice hotels maintained at -5°C. The local guides make these journeys special, sharing their deep cultural knowledge, from traditional fire-starting methods to Viking stories about the Northern Lights, while you wait for them to appear over Abisko National Park. Summer itineraries feature kayaking in Swedish archipelagos, cycling through Copenhagen's lesser-known districts and also hiking above Bergen via the Fløibanen funicular.
Private / Personalized
11 tours in Finland, Norway and SwedenPrivate tours give you complete freedom to explore Stockholm, Oslo, Bergen and Helsinki at your own speed. You'll have local guides in each city who can shift focus based on what interests you most. Some travelers spend extra time photographing Bergen's old Hanseatic wharf, while others dig deep into Helsinki's Design District. The private transfers mean you can stop whenever something catches your eye - maybe a waterfall in the Norwegian fjords or a perfect view of Stockholm's islands. Photographers and culture enthusiasts particularly like this setup since they can really explore specific aspects of Nordic life in detail.
Top Finland, Norway and Sweden travel itineraries to fit your plans

The 10-day Scandinavian routes connect Copenhagen and Helsinki in three different ways, each taking you through varied combinations of Norway's coast and Sweden's heartland. You'll explore Oslo's Frogner Park with its unique sculptures and take in Norway's largest fjord system. Our travelers love how these trips mix city visits like Stockholm's Vasa Ship Museum with genuine local moments - like having lunch in a converted 19th-century Swedish church. The overnight ferry rides between capitals add something special, particularly when you're sailing past Finland's Åland Islands as the sun comes up.

Our two-week tours start in Stockholm and work their way up into the Arctic Circle, moving through Finland's lake district to Rovaniemi and into northern Norway. You'll see Uppsala's historic cathedral, Tromsø's Arctic architecture and experience the midnight sun at North Cape. The Gulf Stream creates surprisingly mild conditions around the Lofoten Islands, where you'll spend time among the distinctive red fishing houses. These longer routes let you really feel the change from city life to Arctic wilderness, and we make interesting stops along the way - like the UNESCO-listed church village of Gammelstad.

- Spring 2026
The 10-day capital routes through Scandinavia blend city experiences with seasonal outdoor exploration, giving travelers a chance to discover the region when tourist numbers dip. Starting in Copenhagen, the journey winds through Oslo and Stockholm, with guided walks in Frogner Park, exclusive access to Stockholm's City Hall and plenty of time to absorb each destination. Those opting for the extended 13-day version get to explore Swedish countryside estates, enjoy traditional fika breaks and discover local culture at a relaxed pace. Many of our guests opt to include Helsinki by taking overnight Baltic ferries, which offer prime opportunities for archipelago photography at dawn. The cultural aspects shine through visits to Christiansborg Palace, Helsinki's Lutheran Cathedral and also modern Nordic design centers. What sets spring tours apart are the thoughtful combinations - mornings at Stockholm's Vasa Ship Museum flow into afternoon fjord viewing, while intimate lunches in converted 19th-century Swedish churches pair perfectly with explorations of Copenhagen's vibrant food scene.

- Summer 2026
Summer in Scandinavia means long bright days that are perfect for seeing both cities and fjords. Many tours connect Oslo's urban scene with Bergen's rich maritime past, and you'll get to ride the Flåm Railway - Norway's highest train route. The boat trip through Nærøyfjord shows off waterfalls dropping 1400 meters into clear waters below. Our guests often say they love how the trips mix things up - you might be paddling a kayak around Vrångö Island one day, then checking out Stockholm's underground art galleries the next. Tours usually have guided morning activities with free afternoons, which works nicely whether you want to keep exploring or take it easy.

- Fall / Autumn 2026
These popular autumn tours across Scandinavia blend Copenhagen's rich culture with Finland's wilderness, creating a perfect seasonal mix. The 13-day journey from Copenhagen to Helsinki strikes an ideal balance by combining classic city visits with outdoor experiences, while giving you time to discover Gamla Stan's medieval streets once summer tourists depart. Travelers appreciate catching early aurora displays above the Arctic Circle, and the overnight ferries between capitals become a highlight as guests wake up to sunrise views over the Åland Islands en route to Finland. Many of our customers opt for the 10-day route focusing on Norway's fjords, Sweden's heartland and, of course, Bergen's historic Bryggen quarter, which takes on special charm with fall foliage. City tours through Copenhagen, Oslo, Stockholm and Helsinki provide expert guidance, then leave afternoons open for market visits or optional activities. The autumn departures work exceptionally well by mixing Nordic dining experiences with free evenings, letting you set your own pace while discovering local flavors.
