Reviews of England Family Tours
- London ExplorerThis was my first tour, and I enjoyed every second of it. The itinerary was excellent, saw everything that I had hoped to see, and there was plenty of free time to explore on my own. It was wonderful to have the Oyster card [for bus and tube]. The hotel was very nice, newly renovated, and located right across from Hyde Park, wonderful for walks in the early morning or evening. Our tour director, Ellie, was extremely organized, and was excellent at providing background and history as we drove through the city, and at the venues. She was also very helpful in providing ideas for places to explore on our free time, and would help with any questions we had. If people needed directions for places they wanted to see on their own, she would print them out. The tour guides [specialists] at some of the venues were also excellent, as was our bus driver, Dave. I left feeling like I had really done more than I would have thought possible in 8 days! London is a lovely city, tourist-friendly, and rich in culture and history. I would love to go again!
- 2-Day Windsor, Stonehenge, Bath & Oxford Small-Group Tour from LondonGreat tour! Bed and breakfast was also fabulous booked by the tour company.
- English Odyssey - 14 Days/13 NightsThis tour was amazing. You travel all over England and get to enjoy many different stops. Castles, Cathedrals, Cliffs, Seaside Villages, Stonehenge, Boat ride & Punting.

Children can explore the Tower of London with its Crown Jewels or take steam train rides through the Lake District's scenic landscapes. The Jorvik Viking Centre in York lets families time-travel to the Viking era while Stratford-upon-Avon brings Shakespeare's world to life. Although dinner was our own our guide gave some delightful recommendations for family-friendly restaurants."
- What is the ideal time of year for a family trip to England?- Summer months from June through August offer the most reliable weather for family travel in England with London temperatures averaging 20-23°C. This period sees attractions running full programming schedules though visitor numbers peak during school holidays in July and August. Spring and fall months provide pleasant alternatives with milder weather and smaller crowds. A TourRadar traveler reports: "We visited in July and the weather was perfect for exploring castles and gardens. The kids could run around outside and we could enjoy picnics in the parks."
