What people love about Wildlife Tours in Asia
- India's Best Wildlife Tour
I enjoyed the tour - a good combination of nature and culture. The tour guides were very good and knowledgeable and the drivers were very safe drivers and very helpful (especially the driver in Khajuraho/Bandhavgarh but also Agra/Ranthambore). Amazing India was also always there for me if any questions arose during travelling, etc. I was traveling as a single woman and because of everyone all always felt safe. As mentioned in other reviews, tipping is expected (and was probably also needed due to the preceding COVID years). Why only 4 stars - a problem was that the naturalists during the safaris do not speak much English and as a foreigner this makes understanding them virtually impossible (I was lucky that English speaking guests helped out); the parks are closed Wed afternoon/evening so you can't book a night safari. I wish I had known this in advance. The tour was still well worthwhile!
- Taj Mahal and Wildlife with Royal Stay at Castles
Our tour was wonderfully designed.Hotels we stayed in were very nice, specially our hotels in Rohet & Sardargarh. These hotels are real forts which are now converted into hotels. We felt like King & Queen during our stay.Hospitality was also top class.Overall,it was a unique experience. We highly recommend this tour if you want to experience the royalty of Kings & Queens of India. Thanks.
- Adventures Ranthambore Wildlife Safari Tour with Golden Triangle 7Days
A friend and I booked this 7 day tour through Tour Radar and were super satisfied with included activities, accommodation and transport from Delhi to Agra, Ranthambore, Jaipur and back to Delhi. We had a crazy flight schedule and some special requests (didn't want to ride elephants and wanted to go to a sanctuary instead and ended up painting an elephant and having an amazing experience). Sanjeev Paul accommodated all requests. Whenever we wanted to do something, he made it work. The driver, Vijay was also great. Clean car with wifi and water provided. During some day trips and tours, we had other guides but they were all fantastic and explained everything thoroughly and answered any questions we had. 3 star hotels were great, all restaurants recommended were great, and tiger safaris included were also great. I highly recommended this tour company and tour (especially for the amazing price!)
What our customers ask about Wildlife Tours in Asia
When is the best time to go on a Wildlife tour in Asia?
Wildlife viewing seasons in Asia depend on the destination. For tiger spotting in Indian national parks like Ranthambore and Bandhavgarh plan your visit between October and April when dry conditions bring animals to water sources. Borneo's orangutan viewing is best from March to October with particularly good conditions at Sepilok Orangutan Centre. The Maldives offers wildlife encounters year-round though whale sharks and manta rays are most active from December to April at South Ari Marine Protected Area.
What kind of wildlife can I expect to see on these tours?
The wildlife varies across Asia's diverse regions. India's national parks host Bengal tigers leopards sloth bears and hundreds of bird species. Visitors to Ranthambore frequently report close encounters with tigers including mothers with cubs. Borneo's dense rainforests are home to orangutans proboscis monkeys gibbons and hornbills. The Maldives waters teem with marine life from whale sharks and manta rays to sea turtles and dolphins especially around South Ari Marine Protected Area.
What type of accommodation can I expect on Wildlife tours in Asia?
Lodging ranges from basic to luxurious depending on location. Near India's tiger reserves guests stay in well-appointed jungle lodges. Borneo offers distinctive options like the Sabah Tea Longhouse and the acclaimed Borneo Rainforest Lodge set in ancient protected forest. For Maldives wildlife cruises boats like the MV Felicity provide air-conditioned cabins in a traditional Turkish gulet design perfect for island hopping and wildlife viewing.
How many safari drives are typically included in an Asia Wildlife tour?
Most locations schedule 2-3 wildlife drives per day. Ranthambore National Park typically includes two 3-hour jeep safaris daily while Kanha National Park offers 4 safaris over a 2-day period. Multiple outings increase wildlife viewing chances significantly. Recent visitors report successful tiger sightings during both morning and evening drives at Ranthambore demonstrating the value of frequent excursions.
What makes Asian Wildlife tours unique compared to other destinations?
Asian wildlife tours blend remarkable biodiversity with cultural richness. The experiences range from tracking tigers through India's forests to watching orangutans in Borneo's canopy and swimming alongside whale sharks in Maldivian waters. The tours also weave in cultural elements like temple visits in India conservation education in Borneo and connections with island communities in the Maldives creating multifaceted travel experiences.
How many people are typically in a wildlife tour group?
Groups remain intentionally small for better wildlife viewing. Indian safari vehicles carry 4-6 people while Borneo tours usually cap at 12-16 participants to protect the environment. The MV Felicity in the Maldives takes just 12 guests in 6 cabins. These limited numbers allow for more focused guidance and improved chances of wildlife sightings according to recent tour participants.
