What people love about Festival & Events Tours in Asia
- India Holi Festival with Rajasthan Luxury 2026
Our driver was fantastic, Deep Chand. Our guides had exceptional knowledge and experience. Answered all questions asked. What a wonderful experience and hope to go back to see more spectacular sights!
- From Delhi: 2-Day Amritsar Golden Temple & Wagah Border Tour
This tour was absolutely fantastic. As an older female travelling solo I was a little nervous but Sanjeev Paul took me to the train station in Delhi and got me settled in my seat. The guide and driver in Amritsar met me and showed me the sights - the Wagah Border ceremony was fun and the Golden Temple was impressive. I highly recommend this tour. I was very well looked after. It was one of the highlights of my trip to India.

? An Unforgettable Holi Experience – March Magic in India! ? I recently returned from an incredible Holi tour this March organized by WTX,, and I honestly can’t stop smiling every time I think about it! From the vibrant colors to the joyous energy of the locals, every single moment was like stepping into a living festival of happiness. The tour was brilliantly organized—our guides were not only knowledgeable about the cultural and historical significance of Holi, but they also made sure we participated in the festivities safely and respectfully. The traditional music, dance, and delicious food added even more magic to the celebration. WTX ensured we experienced the festivities in the most authentic yet safe and respectful way possible. One of the highlights was playing Holi with locals and fellow travelers, throwing gulal (colored powder) under the warm March sun, and feeling like part of something so ancient yet so full of life. I came home with a suitcase full of memories, colorful clothes (in the best way possible), and a heart full of gratitude. If you're thinking about celebrating Holi in India, I wholeheartedly recommend booking with WTX. They turn a great trip into a once-in-a-lifetime experience!
What our customers ask about Festival & Events Tours in Asia
When is the best time to experience festivals in India and what celebrations can I expect?
India's main festival calendar centers on two distinct periods. February to March brings the vibrant Holi celebrations while October to November features the luminous Diwali festivals. In cities like Jaipur and Delhi you can join the Holi festivities at locations such as Hotel Surya Villa where traditional color throwing fills the streets with energy. The massive Kumbh Mela pilgrimage happens every 12 years in Prayagraj during January-February drawing millions of devotees. One TourRadar traveler shared: "Holi was an unforgettable experience! The celebrations were amazing with traditional music colors and festivities making it truly magical."
How do Asia Festival & Events tours handle accommodation during peak festival times?
Tour operators book quality lodgings months ahead for busy festival periods. Options range from well-appointed city hotels like the Regent Grand in Delhi to specially arranged luxury tents at the Kumbh Mela grounds. Heritage properties such as Hotel Surya Villa host Holi participants in Jaipur while Diwali tours feature stays at properties like the 4-star Royale Sarovar Portico in Agra. A TourRadar guest noted: "The hotels were clean comfortable and the staff was friendly and eager to please. The Mandor Guest House was a beautiful garden oasis."
What should I pack for a festival tour in Asia?
Your packing list should include conservative comfortable clothes appropriate for temples and festival grounds. Bring reliable camera gear to document the celebrations. For India's Holi pack clothes you don't mind getting colored. Bhutan's festival-goers need warm layers for mountain monastery venues like Punakha Dzong. Most hotels including the Shangri-La in Thimphu provide secure storage for valuables. A TourRadar traveler suggests: "Bring clothes you don't mind getting stained during Holi and carry a waterproof camera cover."
How close are the accommodations to festival venues?
Hotels are selected based on convenient access to festival sites. The Shangri-La Hotel in Harbin puts guests within 30 minutes of the Ice Festival while Bhutan's Le Meridien Thimphu offers walking access to the Thimphu Festival grounds. According to a TourRadar guest: "Our hotel in Paro was perfectly located just 10 minutes from the festival grounds making it easy to attend both morning and evening ceremonies."
Can I combine festival experiences with other sightseeing?
Tours typically blend festival attendance with visits to key attractions. India's Holi tours often include stops at the Taj Mahal and Amber Fort. Bhutan's festival packages incorporate treks to Tiger's Nest Monastery. Hotels like the ITC Rajputana in Jaipur serve as convenient bases for both festival events and landmark visits. As one TourRadar traveler noted: "The tour perfectly balanced festival time with exploring iconic sites like the Punakha Dzong and local villages."
How much does a typical Festival & Events tour in Asia cost?
Tour prices vary based on the event length and location. A week-long Holi Festival tour in India starts at 1400 USD. Two-week Cherry Blossom tours in Japan run around 7355 USD. Standard inclusions cover hotels like Villa Darya in Hunza or Hotel East 21 in Tokyo guided activities festival events and select meals. Plan for additional costs like flights visa fees and personal expenses plus festival-specific items such as traditional clothing rentals or special event passes.
