- Quick Cochin Munnar Thekkady Alleppy Kovalam 8 Days Tour
I had took the Quick Cochin Munnar Thekkady Alleppey Kovalam tour and it was a quick but memorable tour of Kerala's best attractions. The tour started in Cochin, where we visited some of the city's famous landmarks such as the Mattancherry Palace, the Jewish Synagogue, and the Chinese Fishing Nets. The guide was knowledgeable and provided interesting insights into the city's rich history and cultural diversity. Next, we traveled to Munnar, which is known for its stunning tea plantations and misty mountains. We visited the Tea Museum, the Echo Point, and the Top Station, among other sites. The guide was very knowledgeable about the region's tea industry and provided interesting insights into the cultivation and processing of tea. We then traveled to Thekkady, which is known for its wildlife sanctuary and spice plantations. We went on a jungle trek and a boat ride in the Periyar National Park, where we saw elephants, bison, and other wildlife. We also visited a spice plantation and learned about the region's spice trade. The tour then took us to Alleppey, where we embarked on a houseboat cruise through the tranquil backwaters of Kerala. The scenery was breathtaking and the experience was truly unforgettable. The tour ended in Kovalam, where we had some free time to relax on the beach and enjoy the local cuisine. The accommodations throughout the tour were comfortable and well-maintained, and the local staff were friendly and hospitable. The transportation was also well-organized and comfortable, with air-conditioned vehicles and punctual drivers. .Overall, I would highly recommend the Quick Cochin Munnar Thekkady Alleppey Kovalam tour to anyone looking for a quick but memorable tour of Kerala's best attractions. The tour provided a perfect blend of culture, nature, and relaxation, and left me with memories .
What our customers ask about Christmas & New Year Tours from Kochi (Cochin) to Thiruvananthapuram
What's a typical day-by-day itinerary from Kochi to Thiruvananthapuram?
Most 7-day tours start in Kochi where you'll explore Fort Kochi and see the famous Chinese fishing nets. You'll spend the next two days in Munnar visiting tea plantations, Eravikulam National Park, and Mattupetty Dam. On day 4, you'll head to Thekkady to spot wildlife at Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary and walk through spice plantations. Day 5 is a highlight - you'll sleep on a traditional houseboat in the Alleppey backwaters. The final two days are spent relaxing on Kovalam beach and visiting the impressive Padmanabhaswamy Temple in Thiruvananthapuram before heading home. A TourRadar traveler put it well: "The itinerary was perfect with lots of attention to details. The hotels were excellent, very neat and tidy."
How long do tours from Kochi to Thiruvananthapuram usually take?
Most trips take between 7 and 12 days, but 8 days is the sweet spot. You'll typically spend 2 nights in Munnar, 1-2 nights in Thekkady near Periyar, one night on an Alleppey houseboat, and 2-3 nights in Kovalam before reaching Thiruvananthapuram. TourRadar travelers say 8 days gives you enough time to see both cultural sites and natural attractions without feeling rushed.
What type of places will I stay in during the tour?
You'll find a mix of 3 to 5-star hotels along the way. In Kochi, you might stay at places like The Dune Hotel or Casino Hotel. The real treat is spending a night on a traditional houseboat in Alleppey - you'll have your own private room on the water. When you reach Kovalam, beachfront properties like Harmonia Beach Resort and Vivanta by Taj are common choices. One TourRadar traveler noted: "The hotels were comfortable, with the one in Marari offering stunning views." Your stay usually includes breakfast every day and all meals during the houseboat portion.

The total journey covers about 550 kilometers (342 miles) when you include all the stops. TourRadar travelers often mention how scenic the drive is, with one saying "the journey itself is scenic with lush greenery and glimpses of the backwaters accompanying you along the way."
What are the main places I'll visit between Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram?
Your journey takes you through Kerala's most beautiful spots. You'll start at Fort Kochi with its historic Chinese fishing nets, then head up to Munnar's rolling tea plantations and Eravikulam National Park. Next, you'll visit Thekkady's Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary where you might spot elephants and tigers. One of the highlights is Alleppey, where you'll float through Kerala's famous backwaters on a houseboat. The trip ends at Kovalam's beaches near Thiruvananthapuram. As one TourRadar traveler said: "Kerala with its palm fringed backwaters, picturesque hill stations, abundant wildlife, vibrant culture, and rich heritage is truly God's own Country."
