What people love about Safari Tours from New Delhi
- Uncovering the Wonders of India: A 26-Day Wildlife Tour
It was amazing trip a 26-day wildlife tour with Discover India. I must say, it was one of the most amazing experiences of my life! The tour was divided into 6 different segments, each with its own unique highlights and attractions. We saw everything from elephants and tigers to monkeys and leopards. And the best part? We got to do it all while touring around beautiful temples and scenic landscapes. The Wildlife Tour was truly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an exciting and educational experience. I can't wait to do it again!
- 13 Days Bird Watching Tour in North India with Jim Corbett National Park(ALL INCLUSIVE)
Hemender managed to organize a long family trip for us from England. Being a wildlife photographer, this was a memorable trip.Hemender answered to all our questions regarding the category of hotesl, transportation etc. It helped mentally to prepare for this first time trip to India. He also helped where we could change currency, how much tip is ideal for porters, guides and drivers. When we landed at New Delhi Airport, our driver was already waiting with a smile on his face with a placard of our name. All hotels already discussed before booking and hence it was all okayed. Tempo Traveller was enough for 5 people and it was clean.Guides were excellent and they did their job pretty well.Driver was also experienced and a polite man to cater to our needs. Hence I appreciate their efforts and support.
- India Tiger Photography Tour
We had the most amazing trip. We traveled to multiple locations, yet everything ran seamlessly. Thank you.

From New Delhi, you can easily reach several fantastic wildlife parks. Jim Corbett National Park is closest at 235km away, while Ranthambore National Park sits about 400km from the city. Bandhavgarh National Park is another favorite spot. One traveler told us, "Seeing a tiger from very close quarters in Ranthambore was simply amazing." These parks are home to Bengal tigers, leopards and lots of birds. When you visit Ranthambore, you can stay at nice places like Nahargarh Fort or Sawai Vilas.
What are the best times for wildlife viewing on safari tours from New Delhi?
For the best chance to see wildlife, especially tigers, plan your trip between October and June. The winter months from October through February are really pleasant, with temperatures around 59-77°F (15-25°C). Just keep in mind that the parks close on Wednesdays for maintenance. Ranthambore National Park mostly shuts down from July 1st to September, except for zones 8, 9, and 10, because of the monsoon season.
How much safari activity is typically included in tours starting from New Delhi?
Most tours give you 2-3 safari drives at each park you visit. In Ranthambore, for example, you'll usually go out once in the morning (6:00-9:30 AM) and once in the afternoon (2:30-6:00 PM). One visitor shared their experience: "We had three safari rides at Ranthambore and spotted tigers during two of them - the early morning safaris were particularly rewarding."
What are the most visited national parks on safari tours from New Delhi?
Most people head to Ranthambore to see Bengal tigers, Jim Corbett for its mix of wildlife, and Bandhavgarh for reliable tiger sightings. Many travelers also love Kanha National Park - it's actually where Rudyard Kipling got his inspiration for "The Jungle Book." When visiting Kanha, you can stay at nice places like Kings Lodge or Kanha Earth Lodge while exploring the park.

You'll travel in air-conditioned vehicles that match your group size. Couples usually ride in Toyota Etios cars, groups of 3-4 get Toyota Innovas, and bigger groups travel in Tempo Traveller vans. It takes about 5-6 hours to drive from Delhi to Jim Corbett. To reach Ranthambore, you can either drive or take the train, though most tours provide comfortable AC vehicles.
What type of accommodation can I expect on safari tours starting from New Delhi?
You'll find a good mix of places to stay, from basic to luxury. Some tours put you up in historic buildings like Pachewar Garh Fort, while others use wildlife lodges like Mogli Resorts in Kanha or more upscale options like Lemon Tree Premier in Jim Corbett.
