Bandhavgarh National Park is another favorite spot. One traveler told us, "Seeing a tiger from very close quarters in Ranthambore was simply amazing." These parks are home to Bengal tigers, leopards and lots of birds. When you visit Ranthambore, you can stay at nice places like Nahargarh Fort or Sawai Vilas.
What are the best times for wildlife viewing on safari tours from New Delhi?
For the best chance to see wildlife, especially tigers, plan your trip between October and June. The winter months from October through February are really pleasant, with temperatures around 59-77°F (15-25°C). Just keep in mind that the parks close on Wednesdays for maintenance. Ranthambore National Park mostly shuts down from July 1st to September, except for zones 8, 9, and 10, because of the monsoon season.
How much safari activity is typically included in tours starting from New Delhi?
Most tours give you 2-3 safari drives at each park you visit. In Ranthambore, for example, you'll usually go out once in the morning (6:00-9:30 AM) and once in the afternoon (2:30-6:00 PM). One visitor shared their experience: "We had three safari rides at Ranthambore and spotted tigers during two of them - the early morning safaris were particularly rewarding."
What are the most visited national parks on safari tours from New Delhi?
Most people head to Ranthambore to see Bengal tigers, Jim Corbett for its mix of wildlife, and Bandhavgarh for reliable tiger sightings. When visiting Kanha, you can stay at nice places like Kings Lodge or Kanha Earth Lodge while exploring the park.
