What people love about India and Nepal Tours for Seniors
- Bestseller Tour India with Nepal, flight included
We traveled with Payless Tours through the Golden Triangle of India and Nepal. Prakash, was our personal driver, starting with a pickup at the airport. Is anyone is thinking of this trip, I would recommend you go soon as tourism has not picked up too much yet and the crowds are not there. We loved it. Everywhere we went, the people could not have been nicer. We became like celebrities with local people asking to take their pictures with us in them. Payless was very accommodating. We requested to stay at Heritage Hotels and this was arraigned. Do not even think of driving there. Prakash was an excellent driver and kept us safe. There are cows sleeping on the roads, Tuk Tuks, motorcycles with entire families on them and the occasional vehicle going the wrong way! We particularly liked the historical sites and there was not shortage of them. We would go into one and find it usually took 2 hrs to view as there was so much to see. Sometimes we were just tired and ready to pass on a set, but Prakash encouraged us rightly to go in and we were happy we did not miss it. We loved the monkey temples. The elephant ride and the Safari we took. This is really and ancient and gentile society that should be on everyone’s bucket list. The food was good and we were able to get very interesting non spicy varieties. We ate Indian and Nepalese everywhere. Having a driver was very helpful. Prakash took us right to the entry gate and was there when we departed. He certainly helped to make our trip memorable. He spoke good English.
- Delhi to Kathmandu Adventure
Although this was my first trip to Nepal and India, I wasn't keen on traveling with a tour group. My son, who is a globe trotting travel agent, recommended G Adventure and the Kathmadnu to New Delhi trip. He felt it would give me the freedom to tour cities independently with the security of travelling with a group - and my family could breathe easy. I was pleasantly surprised to find that my tour mates were in their 20's and 30's (instead of being a geriatric group) and they were all warmly accepting of a somewhat immature oldie in their group. Our group ranged from 21 to my 56, and we were family by the end of the trip. I feel in travelling with G Adventure, I made lifetime freinds as well as seeing a fascinating part of the world. What can I say about Bhu, our fearless tour leasder? Amazing, hysterically funny, intuitive and a load of fun to travel with. He seemed to instictively understand when the group needed some down time and when we were raring to go. His jokes and magic tricks kept us in stitches. He always seemed to know who to call, where to go and how to do it. The itinerary was a great blend of comfort and "experience", sight seeing and just chilling, city and rural. The entire experience left all of us wanting more. I am already planning my next trip with G Adventure!

What our customers ask about India and Nepal Tours for Seniors
What is the typical age range for senior tours to India and Nepal?
Senior tours typically welcome travelers between 50-80 years old with most participants in their 60s and 70s. The itineraries balance activities and rest periods that suit mature travelers. Accommodations such as the Hyatt Kathmandu and Taj Ganges Varanasi provide comfort-focused amenities that match seniors' needs. A recent TourRadar review from an Australian visitor age 50 noted: "The tour had a perfect mix of activities and free time for our age group."
What medical facilities and support are available during the tour?
In Delhi Kathmandu and Jaipur you'll find modern hospitals with English-speaking medical staff. Tour guides keep first aid supplies on hand and can quickly connect travelers with trusted local healthcare providers. Hotels like the Hyatt Kathmandu offer on-call medical assistance. A TourRadar participant shared: "Our guide knew exactly which medical centers to recommend when needed and helped arrange transportation."
What is the best time of year for seniors to visit India and Nepal?
Plan your visit between October and March when temperatures are mild and rainfall is minimal. The winter months from December through February offer the most pleasant conditions for exploring Delhi and Jaipur with daily temperatures of 20-25°C. A TourRadar traveler suggests: "Avoid summer months of April-June when temperatures can reach 40°C in cities like Agra and Varanasi which can be challenging for seniors."
What type of transportation is used between cities?
Tours use modern air-conditioned vehicles with professional drivers at the wheel. On longer routes such as Delhi to Jaipur (5 hours) coaches come equipped with reclining seats and regular rest stops. A TourRadar guest noted: "The vehicles were spacious and comfortable perfect for longer journeys with frequent stops at clean facilities."
How much walking is involved at major attractions?
Walking requirements vary but many sites offer alternatives. The Taj Mahal and Amber Fort provide golf carts while guides can suggest shorter routes or rest stops. Guides adjust the pace based on group preferences. According to one TourRadar review: "At busy sites like Kathmandu's Durbar Square our guide found shaded rest spots and avoided crowded times."
What type of accommodation is provided for seniors on these tours?
The tours select 3-4 star hotels that focus on accessibility and comfort. Properties like Delhi Inn offer convenient layouts while Kathmandu hotels near Thamel put you close to key sites. A TourRadar guest commented: "All the hotels were comfortable with AC and fresh beds. The Sarangkat Mountain Lodge in Pokhara was a highlight with breathtaking Himalayan views and excellent service."
