14 Day Israel, Jordan & Egypt Itinerary, incl. Jerusalem and Cairo
A 14-day Israeli tour anchored by 4 nights in Jerusalem, 2 nights in Tiberias, and 2 nights in Tel Aviv. The Western Wall, Church of Holy Sepulchre, and Masada fortress highlight the itinerary. Accommodations include the Metropolitan Tel Aviv and Grand Court Jerusalem, with daily breakfast included.
- Days 1-2
Tel Aviv & Coastal Israel
Start your journey in modern Tel Aviv exploring the beaches and vibrant food scene. Head to the ancient port of Jaffa on day two before traveling north along the Mediterranean to see Caesarea's Roman ruins. "Get to Caesarea early - the archaeological site is most peaceful before tour buses arrive around 10 AM," one traveler suggests.
- Days 3-4
Galilee Region
- Days 5-7
Jerusalem
The Old City of Jerusalem needs three full days to explore properly. Visit the Western Wall at 7 AM for morning prayers, then walk the Via Dolorosa to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Plan day trips to Masada and the Dead Sea. Remember to bring water shoes for the sharp salt crystals. A recent visitor notes: "The Dead Sea mud treatment left my skin amazingly soft, but keep the salty water away from your eyes!"
- Days 8-10
Jordan Highlights
- Days 11-14
Cairo & Egyptian Antiquities
Take a 2.5-hour flight from Amman to Cairo. Give yourself a full day at the Egyptian Museum. The Tutankhamun exhibits alone take about 3 hours to see properly. For the Pyramids of Giza, one traveler recommends: "The site opens at 8 AM - arrive then to avoid both crowds and the brutal midday sun." Save Islamic Cairo and the Khan el-Khalili bazaar for evening when it's cooler.
13 Days in Israel & Jordan, incl. Jerusalem and Petra
Your Israeli adventure spans 22 cities for approx. $250 per day. Walk through Jerusalem's four quarters, float in the Dead Sea, and climb Masada fortress. Quality hotels complement visits to Bethlehem's Church of Nativity and Tel Aviv's Carmel Market with expert guides.
- Days 1-2
Tel Aviv & Galilee
Land in Tel Aviv and get settled. The next day, travel to the Galilee region. Visit the Sea of Galilee early morning to explore Capernaum and the Mount of Beatitudes without crowds. A recent visitor shared: "Watching the sunrise over the Sea of Galilee was incredibly peaceful - try to get there by 6:30 AM to beat the tour buses."
- Days 3-4
Northern Israel Coast
Spend time in Tel Aviv exploring Jaffa's old port and the bustling Carmel Market. Take a walk through Florentin to see the street art. The next day, visit the Roman ruins at Caesarea in the morning before it gets too hot. Continue to Haifa to visit the Baha'i Gardens. Remember to bring good walking shoes and water for the many garden stairs.
- Days 5-6
Jerusalem Old City
The Old City needs full days to explore its quarters properly. Get to the Western Wall before 8 AM when it's quiet. Walk the Via Dolorosa in early afternoon for the best photo light, ending at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Watch sunset from the Mount of Olives. Remember to cover shoulders and knees at religious sites.
- Days 7-8
Bethlehem & Dead Sea Region
Visit Bethlehem with your passport. Continue to Jericho and ride the cable car up to the Mount of Temptation. The next day, start early at Masada fortress when the cable car opens at 8 AM. Spend time floating in the Dead Sea later but keep it brief. The salt water can be harsh on sensitive skin so limit your swim to 15-20 minutes.
- Days 9-10
Northern Jordan
Cross the border into Jordan. Allow extra time for border procedures. Visit Jerash's Roman ruins and explore Amman's citadel and markets. See Mount Nebo in late afternoon when visibility is best then continue to Madaba's ancient mosaic map. Keep some small Jordanian bills handy for basics like restrooms and water.
- Days 11-13
Southern Jordan & Return
Take a jeep tour through Wadi Rum and sleep at a Bedouin camp. A traveler noted: "The traditional zarb dinner cooked underground was amazing, but bring warm layers - desert nights get cold." Spend your full Petra day wisely. Start at the Treasury when it opens at 6 AM to avoid crowds and heat. The Monastery hike takes about 45 minutes up steep steps. Consider a donkey ride if needed. Return to Israel through Aqaba.
11 Days in Israel, incl. Tel Aviv and Jerusalem
Rich cultural experiences await across 10 Israeli cities from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. The tour features UNESCO sites, Mahane Yehuda Market feasts, and Golan Heights wineries. Stay 10 nights in upscale hotels including Metropolitan Tel Aviv and Prima Royale Jerusalem, enjoying Israeli breakfasts and two kibbutz dinners.
- Days 1-3
Tel Aviv & Jaffa
"Watching the sunset from Jaffa's ancient port while locals gather for evening walks creates an unforgettable first impression." Visit the UNESCO-listed Bauhaus architecture along Rothschild Boulevard before 10 AM to beat the heat. On your second day explore the artistic Neve Tzedek neighborhood and Carmel Market. Visit the market around 4 PM Friday when it's most lively before Shabbat. You'll find the best accommodations in Neve Tzedek with easy beach access and plenty of restaurants nearby.
- Days 4-5
Northern Coast & Galilee
Head up the coastal route to see the Roman ruins of Caesarea. Get there by 9 AM to avoid tour buses. Stop at the charming town of Zichron Yaakov then continue to Haifa to see the beautiful Bahá'í Gardens. Spend the next day in the mystical city of Safed (Tzfat). The cobblestone streets can be slippery when wet so pack good walking shoes. Book a stay at a kibbutz hotel in the Galilee region to experience local communal living.
- Days 6-7
Golan Heights & Tiberias
The Golan Heights offers ancient olive presses and local wineries. Book the premium tour at Golan Heights Winery in advance. A recent visitor shared: "The views from Mount Bental across to Syria really put Israel's geography into perspective. Bring binoculars if you can." Visit historic Tiberias on the Sea of Galilee next day before heading south through the Jezreel Valley to Jerusalem.
- Days 8-11
Jerusalem
Plan at least four days in Jerusalem. Start at the Old City early since the Western Wall gets busy after 9 AM. Book the water tunnel walk at the City of David archaeological site ahead of time and bring water shoes and a flashlight. A regular visitor noted: "The Mahane Yehuda Market is best experienced twice. Once during the day for food and again at night when the bars open." Set aside a full day for Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial and the Israel Museum. Consider a final day trip to Masada and the Dead Sea but start early to avoid afternoon heat.
What people love about 2-week Israel tours
- 13 Day Christian Israel & Jordan Tour Package
I had a great time in Petra and Wadi Rum. The tour was organized, and our guide was awesome. He was funny and informative and really made us feel safe and welcome. This trip was an absolute highlight!
- Past to the Future - The Story of the Israeli State - 11 days
The tour is very well-planned and paced. It gives one exactly what it promises: a chance to view the history of the Jewish people and the state through the major sites and cities.
- Israel & Jordan Tour Package, 12 Days
The guides, drivers, and places to visit were all great. Almost everything went off without a problem. And when weather happened, the guides were able to rearrange everything to make it work. The only problem was that the company you hired to pick us up at the airport was not there when we arrived with a sign with our name on it (they said they were helping another arrival) and the vehicle to pick us up was not there. It took almost two hours after landing to get out of the airport. The worst pickup experience I have ever seen. The company was trying to save money by booking to many pickups with too little staff.
