British history comes alive through 23 cities over 13 days including Bath, Liverpool, and Edinburgh. Accommodations include Park Inn Cardiff and Holiday Inn Leeds-Garforth, with 4.8/5 rated expert guides leading walks through historic towns.
- Days 1-2
Southern England & Wales
Leave London early to avoid M4 traffic. Visit Stonehenge before 10 AM to skip the crowds, then head to Bath. The Roman Baths get crowded after 2 PM. A visitor tip: "The Roman baths are fascinating but wear non-slip shoes - those ancient stones get slippery!" Sleep in Cardiff. On day 2, visit Stratford-upon-Avon and Liverpool. Book The Beatles Story museum tickets online to avoid long waits.
- Days 3-4
Dublin & Eastern Ireland
Take the 3-hour morning ferry to Dublin. A visitor suggests: "The Guinness Storehouse tour is worth it, but go late afternoon when crowds thin out." Day 4 is open for Dublin exploring. Start at Trinity College early, visit Dublin Castle (90-minute tour), and enjoy Temple Bar after 7 PM when it comes alive.
- Days 5-7
Western Ireland
Travel to Waterford, then Blarney Castle. Get there by 9 AM to avoid long lines at the Blarney Stone. Stay in Killarney to explore the Ring of Kerry. A guest shares: "The Killarney jaunting car rides are fun but book through your hotel - street prices are higher." Visit the Cliffs of Moher in the morning for the best visibility.
- Days 8-9
Northern Ireland & Scottish Highlands
- Days 10-11
Edinburgh
- Days 12-13
Northern England & Cambridge
14 Day British Isles Itinerary, incl. London and Dublin
British heritage spans 18 cities over 14 days, from London's Parliament to Edinburgh's Royal Mile. The route includes Cambridge colleges, York's cathedral, and Liverpool's historic port, with stays at IBIS London Excel Docklands and Novotel Edinburgh Park.
- Days 1-2
London
Begin your journey in London. Get to Westminster and Parliament by 8:30 AM to beat the crowds. Book a Windsor Castle visit for late afternoon since morning traffic leaving London can be difficult. In the evening, walk through Soho and Leicester Square. Wear good walking shoes as London's old streets can be rough.
- Days 3-4
Northern England to Edinburgh
Leave London early before rush hour and drive to Cambridge (2.5 hours). Continue to York where you'll need about 3 hours to see the medieval walls and York Minster. The Durham Cathedral visit requires climbing steep steps. Visit Alnwick Castle the next day at 10 AM opening time to avoid school groups if you're interested in Harry Potter filming locations.

Scottish Highlands to Belfast
- Days 7-9
Ireland's East Coast
- Days 10-11
Western Ireland
- Days 12-14
Wales to London
- Days 1-3
London
Take three full days to explore London and recover from jet lag. Start at Westminster and Parliament before exploring the City. For dinner in Soho and Chinatown, get there before 7 PM to avoid packed restaurants. On day three set your own pace. Visit the Tower of London right when it opens at 9 AM to skip the long lines.
- Days 4-5
Northern England & Edinburgh
Head north through Cambridge where you'll need 2 hours for college visits. Make sure to reach York by 2 PM to see York Minster before it closes. Don't miss Durham's cathedral and castle. In Edinburgh, take the morning tour to avoid massive castle crowds after 10 AM. Stay in the Old Town to be close to everything.
- Days 6-7
Scottish Highlands & Belfast
Drive through the Highlands stopping at Pitlochry for morning coffee at 8 AM, then continue to Inverness and Loch Ness. Between November and February take the Stirling Castle route instead because of shorter days. The Belfast ferry takes 2 hours. Sit on the port side for the best views of the coast. Book your Titanic Museum tickets online to save time.

Northern Ireland
- Days 10-11
Dublin
Spend two days exploring Irish culture in Dublin. Book the 9:30 AM entry at Trinity College's Book of Kells to avoid the usual 2-hour wait. Walk along the River Liffey in the morning light. "Temple Bar is lively but tourist-heavy. For authentic Dublin pubs try the side streets off Grafton Street instead," one traveler suggests.

What people love about 2-week UK and Great Britain tours
- Best of UK & Ireland
Tour was well organized Kaileigh was great. The only downfalls were the hotel in Edinburgh it was dated I can forgive that but I cannot forgive dirty it was Filthy the whole tour group complained about it. The other let down was the last night would loved to have stayed in York and spent more time there. But all in all a good trip.
- Best of Britain (14 Days)
First time that we had ever taken a coach tour. Itinerary was excellent and for the most part we enjoyed our fellow travelers. We were quite impressed that every hotel had comfortable beds and we really appreciated that the hotel staff portered our bags so we never had to lug them around. This made the frequent hotel changes a breeze. There were some rather long rides in the coach when we would have appreciated the tour director providing us with some information about local terrain and culture to help pass the time. Otherwise though, Chris was exceptional. He was extremely well organized and a very good communicator about our travel plans and kept everyone on track.
- Best of Ireland & Scotland (Classic)
Our tour guide (Sean) was fantastic and so was our driver (Jimmy). They both went way out of their way to insure our trip was one of the best.
