What people love about Fully Guided Tours in Turkey
- 2 Nights / 3 Days Best of Istanbul City Guided Tour
We had the most wonderful experience on our ISTANBUL tour with Ali as our guide! Ali was exceptionally knowledgeable and shared fascinating insights about the region’s history, culture, and natural beauty, which made the tour even more meaningful. He ensured we felt comfortable and engaged throughout the day. We visited stunning locations and workshops despite the snow and cold, each more breathtaking than the last, and Ali’s in-depth commentary enriched the experience. The lunch at a local restaurant was excellent and truly one of the best meals we had during our time in ISTANBUL – great quality and value. Ali’s passion for his work and his kind nature turned this tour into an unforgettable experience. I highly recommend Ali to anyone looking to explore the wonders of ISTANBUL . Thank you, Ali, for making our trip so memorable!
- 10 Days Wonders of Turkey
What a great few days with Yesra. Her knowledge was fantastic but because of her obvious passion she went well behold just telling us the history. She made us all feel so welcomed into this lovely country. Thank you
- From Istanbul to the Coast: An 8-Day Adventure through Turkey's Most Beautiful Landscapes
Tour itinerary is very tight especially in kusadasi and cappadocia. Clarification needed for Istanbul sites as it is a walking tour and no transportation is provided. Hotel was close to most sites. Some sites require 2-3 hours minimum to really explore. Our guide Halil in Kusadasi is phenomenal. He has deep knowledge of history and was so welcoming of questions. Our guide in Cappadocia was excellent at problem solving as there were issues with entrance fees which advertised as accepting euros but did not. He was adept at finding a solution to allow payment in liras. Lots of walking so those with mobility issues may find some sites challenging. Generally, tour was a small taste of the beauty of Turkey. Some hiccups that were frustrating at times but given the planning logistics, was overall negligible. Lunches in Istanbul are preset and the fish restaurant was delicious. Hotel staff were all welcoming and very kind. At recital hotel in Istanbul a staff member shared his cough medicine?
What our customers ask about Turkey Guided Tours & Trips
What is the best time of year to take a fully guided tour in Turkey?
The sweet spots for touring Turkey fall in spring (April-May) and autumn (September-October) when temperatures hover between 20-25°C (68-77°F). These months provide comfortable conditions for exploring Istanbul's historic sites and walking through Cappadocia's valleys. TourRadar's booking data shows these periods are the most popular with travelers leading to increased tour departures.
What level of accommodation can I expect on a fully guided tour in Turkey?
Four-star and boutique hotels form the backbone of Turkey's guided tour accommodations. Properties like the Recital Hotel in Istanbul's Sultanahmet district put travelers in the heart of the action while cave hotels such as Arte Cave and Under Cave in Cappadocia offer distinct regional character. Guest reviews consistently highlight the comfort cleanliness and authentic atmosphere of these carefully selected properties.
Are meals and accommodations typically included on fully guided tours in Turkey?
Standard tour packages cover daily hotel breakfasts and many lunches during sightseeing excursions. An 8-day itinerary typically includes 7 breakfasts and 6 lunches at local restaurants chosen for their authentic cuisine. Accommodations range from seaside stays at the Charisma De Luxe Hotel in Kusadasi to distinctive cave hotels in Cappadocia all included in the base tour price.
What is typically included in a fully guided tour package in Turkey?
Tour packages bundle 4-5 star hotels domestic flights between cities air-conditioned transportation entrance fees and professional English-speaking guides. Stays at properties like the Nidya Hotel and GalC Cave Hotel plus most meals come standard. Packages run 7-15 days with prices from $1500-3500 depending on duration and included features. Airport transfers round out the comprehensive offerings that eliminate planning hassles.
How much free time is typically available during fully guided tours in Turkey?
The schedules mix guided activities with independent exploration particularly in major cities. Istanbul itineraries often leave evenings and occasional half-days open while destinations like Cappadocia balance morning tours with free afternoons. Central locations such as the Pam Thermal Hotel in Pamukkale and Richmond Hotel in Kusadasi make it simple to explore during downtime or join optional excursions like hot air balloon rides.
What is the typical group size for fully guided tours in Turkey?
Tours operate with 8 to 24 participants striking a balance between intimacy and social interaction. Companies like Eskapas use 34-seat coaches for groups of 24 or fewer ensuring space and comfort. The modest size allows smooth transitions between sites like the Blue Mosque and Ephesus while maintaining clear communication between guides and group members at archaeological sites and museums.
