Ireland Coach / Bus Tour Reviews
- Great Tour of Ireland
Diego was a really great tour guide! Very knowledgeable about Ireland and tried to make sure everyone had a great time. The only thing I didn't expect was a bilingual tour because when I booked it, it said english speaking. But Diego was very good about translating in both languages. I would use tourradar again.
- Best of the West
Great trip! As with all coach trips, can feel a little rushed at times but great way to see a lot in a short time!
- Focus on Ireland (Classic)
Amazing experience for our first group coach tour! Tom Horgan was an exceptional guide. Martin was a great driver. All the accommodations were more than comfortable. Breakfast was more than plentiful. The dinners were tasty and fun. The itinerary was well planned and the stops broke up the journey very nicely. Highly recommend!
What our customers ask about Bus Tours in Ireland
What typical daily schedule can I expect on an Ireland coach tour?
Ireland coach tours generally begin between 8:00-9:00 AM departing from central locations like Dublin's Nassau Street. The day's itinerary includes visits to 2-3 major attractions such as the Cliffs of Moher Ring of Kerry or historic castles with stops lasting 1-2 hours at each site. Groups take a 1-hour lunch break in local towns and return to their accommodations between 5:00-7:00 PM. A TourRadar traveler shared about their Wild N' Happy Celtic Voyage tour: "Andy adjusted the schedule for us so we were out every day. He's very knowledgeable and interesting. Laughed a lot and saw a lot. Loved that it was a small group not a large bus."
What type of accommodation can I expect on Ireland coach tours?
Coach tours typically provide 3-4 star hotels and guesthouses in prime locations. In Killarney travelers often stay at properties like the Killarney Plaza Hotel and Spa or The Fairview Hotel while Dublin stops include the Clayton Hotel Burlington Road. Select tours such as Trafalgar's Castles and Manors feature stays in historic properties. As one TourRadar traveler noted: "The accommodations were beautiful and very welcoming...All of the places we stayed were very nice and included full cooked-to-order breakfasts that were delicious."
What are the unique scenic experiences available on Ireland coach tours?
Tours take visitors to notable natural landmarks including the 700-foot Cliffs of Moher the stark Burren region and coastal views along the Ring of Kerry. Stops include Inch Beach on the Dingle Peninsula and Torc Waterfall in Killarney National Park. A TourRadar traveler shared: "Driving through the rural heart of Connemara we reach the charming town of Cong...the breathtaking pass flanked by gorgeous mountains taking us through the Maam Valley. The views were absolutely spectacular."
What is included in terms of meals on Ireland coach tours?
Tours typically cover daily full Irish breakfast at hotels plus 3-4 dinners at local restaurants or accommodations. The Taste of Ireland tour for example provides 5 breakfasts and 3 dinners featuring local cuisine. Lunch costs are not included during free time periods. Reviews indicate "the included meals were generous with good variety" though travelers should "budget around $30-40 USD per day for additional meals."
How much free time do I have to explore independently on a coach tour in Ireland?
Daily schedules usually allow 2-3 hours of independent exploration particularly in destinations like Galway Killarney and Dublin. When staying at places like the Dromhall Hotel in Killarney evenings are typically unscheduled for personal activities. A TourRadar traveler reported: "The tour had a great mix of structured sightseeing and free time to wander. We had plenty of opportunities to explore charming towns try local restaurants and experience traditional music sessions in the evenings."
What are the biggest time-saving advantages of traveling via coach tours in Ireland?
Coach tours streamline travel by managing logistics accessing reserved bus parking and employing drivers who know Ireland's rural roads well. Tour guides coordinate entry tickets and timing to minimize crowds at popular attractions like Blarney Castle. One TourRadar traveler noted: "The small bus allowed us to get to places big coaches couldn't access. Our guide Andy knew all the best times to visit attractions and secret spots away from tourist crowds."
