    • Day 1

      Miami

      Begin your trip in South Beach. Book a late afternoon hotel check-in to avoid rush hour traffic. Walk through the Art Deco Historic District at sunset when it's cooler and the neon lights create great photo opportunities.

      Miami to Key West

      Leave early for the 4-hour drive to Key West on the Overseas Highway. Take water and sunscreen for the journey. Visit the Anhinga Trail in Everglades National Park around 8 AM when wildlife is active and it's less humid. Once in Key West get around on foot or bike since parking in Old Town is tough and costs a lot.

      Key West

      Take the Conch Tour Train in the morning to get your bearings before it gets too hot. Head to Mallory Square by 4:30 PM for the sunset celebration. If you want a quieter sunset spot try Fort Zachary Taylor Historic State Park.

      Key West to Naples

      Drive back north in the morning. Stop at the Everglades for an airboat ride - book early when alligators are sunbathing. It's about 4 hours to Naples. For dinner check out Third Street South which has great outdoor restaurants. Book ahead if visiting from January to March.

      St. Pete Beach

      Spend two days on the beautiful Gulf Coast beaches near the Don CeSar. Bring water shoes since the sand gets very hot. Visit Fort De Soto Park in the morning for the best shell collecting at low tide.

      Orlando Area

      It takes about 2 hours to drive from St. Pete to Orlando. Stop at Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park to spot manatees especially in winter. If you're going to Disney World use Genie+ and book popular rides like Seven Dwarfs Mine Train first thing to avoid long waits.

      Cape Canaveral to Delray Beach
