  • Day 1

    Colombo to Kandy via Pinnawala

Plan to arrive for the 9:15 AM feeding session where you can watch and help bottle-feed baby elephants. The grounds get muddy so pack sturdy shoes, especially during monsoon season.   • Day 1

  • Day 1

    Colombo to Nuwara Eliya

You'll want to see the giant Java Fig tree and orchid house. On your way to Colombo, stop at the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. Try to time your visit with the elephant bathing sessions at 10 AM or 2 PM. The final drive to Colombo airport takes about 3 hours.
