What people love about Nile River Cruises in June
- Legend of the Nile: 6-Days Tour for 5 stars Nile Cruise Aswan to Luxor & Sleeper Train Round Trip From Cairo
Khaled was an amazing tour guide through our trip in Egypt. We went to the best highlights around Egypt and his descriptions of each site was in depth and very engaging. I highly recommend this to anyone wanting to get the most out of their time in Egypt.
- From Luxor 5 Days 4 Nights Nile Cruise WITH GUIDED TOURS + FREE GIFT TOUR "ABU SIMBEL TEMPLE"
One Of the Best Ever Experiences in My Whole Life Traveling in Egypt was such a great adventure as we prepared for it for along time.. We searched for all the available companies and sites then we found that the companies in London or in UK in General are so much expensive than the local companies in Egypt We looked at Egyptology Travel and chose 4 nights cruise from Luxor It was a wonderful Cruise traveler may have the boat more than we expect Royal Lily five Stars Boat All Egypt Tours we did were so wonderful Egyptology Travel was able to do all the tours professionally the guide was so lovely and was able to answer every thing the transportation more than wonderful also we booked an additional tour it was hot air balloon in Luxor in fact we choose to do it with Egyptology Travel though some of our friends did it with other company we paid less and did the balloon in the dawn they paid more than us and they were so late as the car that must transfer them reached them late also their balloon were so stuffed they were disappointed but they took the contacts of Egyptology Travel to travel with them in the soon future Over All We can say that Egyptology Travel is the Best Travel Agency in Egypt Highly Recommended
- 5 Days – 4 Nights Nile Cruise 5* From Cairo by Flight
I have no words to explain how amazing this tour was. Especially with how much value you get from this price!! Let me first say I am usually a cheap solo female traveler, that travels carry on only and HATES tours. I hate booking things online as well and was a little worried this was a scam. This trip my partner and I both went and we booked this nile river cruise with flights and ended up getting SO much more out of it than we thought we would. I’m going to first start with praise to Alaa. He messaged quickly and promptly on this platform answering all the million questions I asked. They couldn’t find a flight from Cairo on the days we chose for the cruise so he asked if we could do different days instead and would give us private tours himself due to the change (which were AMAZING!) I cannot give enough compliments to Alaa. He genuinely wants you to have an amazing trip and show westernized tourists, who tend to be afraid of Egypt, that it is a beautiful, kind, and safe country. He helped plan over half a dozen other tours for us that BLEW us away. Instead of a flight back from Aswan to Cairo he helped arrange a flight from Hurghada to Cairo for no extra charge. He always asked if we needed anything, or had any feedback. Before and after the cruise he still helped us with any problems that arose. I cannot imagine going to Egypt without having Alaa’s help- and I prefer doing things myself… so that’s a big change for me! In regards to the cruise/tour specifically: Day 1: We were picked up by private car from Giza and taken to Cairo airport. We had our flight to Luxor. We were picked up by Alaa and taken to Karnak Temple and spent a long time there! He gave so much information, way more than every other tour we passed. It was AMAZING! The best part- all the tours were like this! We checked in early to the cruise and freshened up. For Sunset, we visited Luxor temple, and we did a carriage ride around the city of Luxor (suppose to be an extra charge but Alaa did this complimentary). Day 2: We did the extra sunrise hot air balloon tour. After breakfast we were picked up by car and taken to the West Bank. We visited Valley of the Kings, Temple of Hatshepsut (hat-cheap-suit, not hot-chicken-soup), the Colossi of Memnon and visited a local Alabaster institute. We sailed that night. Day 3: Took a carriage ride from the boat to Edfu Temple. Boat left around 11am and we arrived in Kom Ombo Temple around sunset. Both were beautiful! Day 4: We visited Philae Temple in Aswan, the high dam, and the unfinished obelisk. We also got the extra Nubian village tour which was AMAZING!!! Day 5: We woke up early to go to Abu Simbel. Alaa helped us arrange a train that night to go to Luxor for a private tour we had booked for the next day to Dendara and Abydos (you MUST visit. Out of all of Egypt these were our FAVORITE temples) with a private transfer to Hurghada. The food in the cruise was amazing. The views were stunning. My advice: Be flexible with your dates and message your guide! Book additional accommodations with them (before and after to save money since they often can get things cheaper!!), book any additional tours with them privately (not on this platform), and have fun! Like Alaa told us: most people come to Egypt only once. Hopefully you go back- but if you don’t- enjoy everything you can while you are there. Thank you Alaa and Holidays in Egypt! :)

What is the weather like along the Nile River in June?
June temperatures along the Nile River are consistently hot and dry reaching up to 104°F (40°C) during daytime hours. This is most noticeable in Upper Egypt's cruise hubs of Luxor and Aswan. The modern cruise vessels like MS Concerto and Queen Isis offer welcome relief with well-maintained air conditioning systems. Most tour operators schedule early morning departures for land excursions to help guests avoid the strongest midday sun. The climate-controlled cabins get frequent positive mentions in visitor feedback during summer sailings.
What are the main highlights of a Nile River cruise in June?
A June Nile cruise centers around evening visits to the lit Temple of Luxor, early access to the Valley of the Kings and stops at the temples of Edfu and Kom Ombo. The Sonesta St. George cruise adds cultural elements through evening entertainment featuring traditional belly dancing and Nubian music. Recent visitor feedback notes: "The June timing was perfect for sunset views from the deck while sailing between Aswan and Luxor. The temples were less crowded and our guide Mohammed made each stop fascinating."
What are the advantages of taking a Nile cruise in June?
June offers quieter conditions at major archaeological sites and temples with noticeably fewer visitors than peak season. Ships like the Steigenberger Nile Palace operate with reduced passenger numbers giving guests more space and attention from staff. The rooftop pools and observation decks are less busy making sunset viewing more pleasant. Recent visitor feedback notes: "June was perfect for photography at temples like Karnak and Luxor with fewer tourists around."
Are there any special events or festivals along the Nile in June?
Cultural celebrations line the Nile during June including the Alexandria Summer Festival which focuses on music and arts. Many ships like the Sonesta St. George host Galabya parties where guests dress in traditional Egyptian clothing. Evening entertainment tends to increase during summer months with one recent guest noting: "The June folkloric shows on deck were a highlight especially watching traditional dancing while sailing past illuminated temples."
How much does a Nile River cruise typically cost in June?
Cruise prices in June range from $550 to $2500 based on duration and vessel category. The 4-day Sonesta St. George cruise starts at $2109 while the 5-day MS Mayfair cruise runs about $1669. These rates usually cover all meals guided tours and air-conditioned rooms. Most travelers find June pricing more favorable compared to peak season rates with good availability across different price points.
