  There was an indiscretion of times for one of my tours and so I missed it completely. I tried to contact the number I was given for the person looking after me but received no reply. I then received an email and 2 x separate calls all from different people later that day/the next day to find out why I didn’t attend, but 2/3 of them gave no apologies for the mix up and there was nothing offered to compensate this. I later needed to contact my guide looking after me to confirm my airport pickup time as there was nothing in writing about this and again received no reply. The time difference meant the main office overseas was closed and so I couldn’t get through to anyone. A driver arrived but the lack of communication after attempting to make contact multiple times was disappointing. The tours themselves were interesting but much more directed at people much older than I was so I felt out of place and it wasn’t as enjoyable of an experience as I had hoped. I payed a fair bit of money for this package and my hostel was one of the cheapest in the area - a real budget hostel and in the middle of a heatwave had no air conditioning and was a 20 minute walk up a hill from our daily drop offs. For the amount of money I paid I would have expected a bit more from the accommodation. That said, the hostel I was in was incredibly homely and welcoming and as someone who enjoys making new friends in hostels this suited me perfectly. If it weren’t for the people there (both travellers and staff) I would have requested to move because the heat was almost unbearable (43°C). Overall my trip was okay - the daily guides were informative and the hostel staff friendly. However I don’t feel as though I got any value for money for my package and was disappointed with the communication overall.
