This was our second trip with tour radar. This trip was excellent, we loved every minute of it, especially our driver and guide Roman, who was just amazing. We loved his local stories, and his commentary on the different sites we went to see. Iceland is an awesome place to visit - its raw, clear, pure and vast nature as its best. I highly recommend this tour for anyone - the pace was comfortable, the food was amazing ( we are both vegetarians) and never felt there was a lack of choice. The 3 days were just perfect, but the company made the trip just that extra special. It was nice to visit the local cafes and bakeries while we were sightseeing for a coffee or a lunch break. We did an upgrade - which i also highly recommend. Hotel Klettur's staff and reception were also great and tried their best to accommodate us, when we arrived back from our trip and were given ground floor rooms facing the parking lot which was not acceptable to us.

Our guide (Andre) was friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about the region, sharing fascinating stories about Iceland’s history, culture, and natural wonders. Accommodations were cozy and comfortable, meals featured delicious local flavors, and the transportation was safe and comfortable. I always felt well cared for and never rushed. This trip exceeded my expectations in every way and left me with memories I’ll cherish forever. I would happily travel with GJ Travel again and recommend this experience to anyone who dreams of seeing the Northern Lights in an authentic, stress-free way.

Overall, the tour was excellent-each of the stops was worthwhile and interesting, the hotel accommodations were more than satisfactory, and the tour guide was helpful, very knowledgeable, and personable. The tour was everything I expected it to be-and the weather cooperated so we could see the auroras two nights in a row-

3 day tour included all the highlights of Iceland. Hotel Cabin was small for double occupancy but good location - supermarket nearby, easy walk to city center. Hotel Stracta was nicer but limited to eating at its restaurant. Saw northern lights only after taking photos of glistening skies, not by naked eyes. Iceland is expensive so prepare to pay $$$ for food and extras. Eric was great tour guide and GJ Travel provided excellent customer service.

Overall, the tour was interesting and very good. Our guide Andy was great and let us know upfront about potential changes to plans due to weather, so managed expectations well. The tour is really 3 days with a night’s accommodation on either side, so not the 5 advertised. I’d recommend going for the hotel upgrade as the Hotel Cabin room was too small for two people with luggage, unless you’re not planning to open your bags! The Flybus is a very long-winded way of getting to and from the airport, so I’d pay up for a taxi which will do the trip in half the time, which is worth every cent when your typical departure flight from Iceland is early in the morning. Highlights of the trip were the Blue Lagoon, the waterfalls and of course the Northern Lights, which we were very grateful to see. We paid upfront for the optional glacier hike, which had to be cancelled due to bad weather, so I hope we’re refunded for that…

Included in the tour is a Flybus ticket. Flybus takes you from the airport to Reykjavík. There is a departure from the airport 35-40 minutes after every flight arrival. You will present your vouchers at the Flybus counter at the arrival hall, and they will direct you to the bus outside. If you ever have any questions regarding the transfer, the Flybus staff will be there ready with answers. When you are going back to the airport you will talk to the hotel reception and they will advise you on the steps to take to catch the bus at the right time.

What's the best offer for 3 adults for 5 Days Land of Northern Lights on 9-13 October? And what's the chance to experience northern light during that period?

    Price / Availability
    Tour Details
    • GJ TravelOperatorWritten August 2025

Our success rate for seeing the Northern Lights in this tour in October is 74%, our total average is 65% so October is above average. Triple rooms have twin beds and a sofa bed or pull out bed, the rooms are subject to hotel availability. The price for a triple room would be 1220 EUR per person in October in a budget room.

    • GJ TravelOperatorWritten August 2025

For this tour our highest success rate is in September with 88% success. Please note that the Northern Lights can never be guaranteed and if they are a big part of your wish list I would recommend a longer tour where your chances raise to 90% and higher.
