- ALaura B· September 18th, 2019The number one reason for this score was my guide (and trainee guides). Elina was incredible, friendly and knowledgeable. So passionate for what she does. Plus we were so lucky to have Philipe, Sergi & Matta join us, they gave us that little extra flair and were so good to everyone. I also loved the hotels - not all of them I can give 1% thumbs up but they were in great locations, friendly staff and generally had a beautiful Spanish vibe. The main two hotels that may need a little improvement is Madrid and Barcelona, nice enough, further out of the centre and felt stock standard rather than a typical intrepid style hotel. Perfect amount of free time versus inclusions. Your group leader or local representative will be able to suggest restaurants to try during your trip. To give you the maximum flexibility in deciding where, what and with whom to eat, generally not all meals are included in the trip price. This also gives you more budgeting flexibility. As a rule our groups tend to eat together to enable you to taste a larger variety of dishes and enjoy each other's company. If you have dietary requirements and/or food allergies, please let your booking agent know prior to departure.

Yes, you'll be required to carry your own luggage between train stations and hotels, which can include going up and down multiple flights of stairs, and across cobblestones. Train stations often don't have lifts available. So we recommend packing light.
