Itinerary
- Day 1
São Luís to Barreirinhas
Leave São Luís early and drive to Barreirinhas, your base for exploring Lençóis Maranhenses. After you settle in and grab lunch, hop into a 4x4 for the Lagoa Bonita circuit. You'll drive through massive dune fields, stop at crystal-clear lagoons for swimming, and stick around for the sunset before heading back to your pousada.

- Day 2
Barreirinhas to Atins
Start the day on a motorboat heading down Rio Preguiças, where you'll spot wildlife and local communities along the banks. Stop in Vassouras to see monkeys and local crafts, then climb the Mandacaru lighthouse for views of the whole area. From there, check out Cabur where freshwater and saltwater meet, have lunch, then take a boat to the fishing village of Atins. Later you'll explore seasonal lagoons by 4x4 before sunset rolls around.

Atins
You have the morning free to walk around Atins village on its sandy streets and relax at the beach whenever you feel like it. In the afternoon, catch a speedboat back to Barreirinhas and get settled at your pousada. Your evening is open, so you can unwind as you prefer.

Landmarks Atins - Day 4
Barreirinhas - Santo Amaro Circuit
After breakfast, spend the full day heading into the national park toward Santo Amaro. You'll travel by 4x4 through the Andorinha and Gaivota circuits to reach calm lagoons, then go deeper into the park to the remote village of Betânia. Along the way you'll see Lagoa do Toco, Lagoa da Ilha, and Lagoa da Piscina, stop for lunch, explore more lagoons, and watch the sunset before returning to Barreirinhas.

- Day 5
Barreirinhas to São Luís
Have breakfast and check out, then spend the day on the Lagoa Azul circuit by 4x4 traveling through sandy trails. You'll visit Lagoa Azul, Lagoa da Esmeralda, and Lagoa dos Toyoteiros where you can swim and take photos of the intensely colored waters. Head back to shower at the pousada, then drive to São Luís for your afternoon departure.
