Kathmandu
You'll touch down at Kathmandu International Airport where a tour representative meets you for the drive to your hotel. After settling in from your journey, you have time to rest and get oriented to the city.

Kathmandu
Following breakfast, a guided tour takes you through Kathmandu's religious and historical centers. You'll start at Pashupatinath Temple along the Bagmati River, then move on to Boudhanath Stupa, one of the largest Buddhist stupas around. From there, head to Kathmandu Durbar Square with its ancient temples and palaces (a UNESCO site), and finish up at Swayambhunath Temple perched on a hilltop where you get sweeping views across the valley.

Kathmandu to Chitwan
After breakfast, you'll drive about 75 kilometers southwest to Chitwan and Royal Chitwan National Park, Nepal's first national park located in the Churia foothills. Once you arrive and check into your hotel, you can prepare for the jungle activities that follow. The drive itself shows off Nepal's dramatic changes in elevation from subtropical valleys to higher terrain.

- Day 5
Chitwan to Pokhara
After breakfast, you'll drive to Pokhara in northwestern Nepal, a route that really shows off the country's dramatic elevation shifts from subtropical valleys up toward the high peaks. When you arrive, check in at your hotel and take in the views of Fishtail Mountain and the calm waters of Phewa Lake.

Pokhara
Following breakfast, a guided city tour shows you around Pokhara. You'll see Davis Falls and the Gupteswar Mahadev Cave with its striking rock formations, plus visit the island temple of Tal Barahi on Phewa Lake. A one-hour boat ride on the lake comes next, then you head to World Peace Pagoda for panoramic views and see the towering 108-foot Shiva Mandir statue.
