Itinerary
- Day 1
Marrakech to Dades Gorges
You'll start in Marrakech and head through the High Atlas Mountains, crossing the Tizi n'Tichka pass where the views open up across the range. Stop at Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO site with ancient kasbahs and fortified buildings that give you a real sense of how settlements looked centuries ago. After that, you'll drive through the Valley of Roses and then reach Dades Gorges, where the rock formations are quite dramatic. By evening you'll settle into your guesthouse for the night.

- Day 2
Dades Gorges to Merzouga Dunes
From Dades Gorges, the route takes you to Todra Gorges where tall cliffs rise on either side creating some striking scenery. You'll pass through Erfoud, which is known for fossils and local markets if you want to stop and look around. Later you'll arrive in Merzouga and head out for a camel trek at sunset into the Erg Chebbi dunes. That evening you'll stay at a traditional Berber camp under the night sky.

- Day 3
Merzouga to Fes
This morning starts early with a camel trek across the Erg Chebbi dunes to catch the sunrise. After you return to Merzouga for breakfast, you'll drive through the Ziz Valley with its palm groves and kasbahs scattered throughout. Moving into the Middle Atlas Mountains, you'll stop in Ifrane, a town with European-style architecture that contrasts with the rest of Morocco. You'll arrive in Fes by late afternoon and check into your accommodation.

Fes to Chefchaouen
Spend your morning on a guided tour through Fes's old medina, seeing places like the Al-Qarawiyyin Mosque and walking through the busy souks where vendors sell everything from spices to leather goods. After taking in the city's history and culture, you'll drive toward Chefchaouen in the Rif Mountains. Arriving in the late afternoon gives you time to wander the blue-painted streets and get oriented before settling in.

A guided morning tour shows you Chefchaouen's blue streets, local markets, and the Kasbah Museum with its views out over the Rif Mountains. This is a good time to take photos and explore the town at a relaxed pace. In the afternoon, you'll drive to Tangier along the coast, enjoying the scenery as you travel. You'll arrive with time to explore the city or rest before finishing your journey.
