Your driver will meet you at Beijing airport and take you to your hotel. After checking in, the rest of the day is yours to relax and get adjusted to the time zone.

Beijing
Start the day meeting your guide for a full day covering Beijing's major sites. You'll begin at Tiananmen Square to see the Mao Zedong Mausoleum, National Museum of China, House of People's Meetings, and Monument to National Heroes. From there, head into the Forbidden City for a guided walk through this historic complex. After lunch, it's off to the Summer Palace where you can wander around the lakes, gardens, and imperial buildings. Stop by the Silk Store to pick up traditional souvenirs before heading back to your hotel. The evening is free.

Beijing
You'll take a guided tour to Mutianyu Great Wall, which is one of the better-preserved sections and not as crowded as other parts. Spend the morning walking this section, then grab lunch at a local restaurant. Next, visit the Jade Factory to watch artisans at work and learn about jade carving. Before returning to Beijing, stop at the Ming Tombs to see where 13 Ming Dynasty emperors were buried. The evening is free once you get back.

Beijing to Xian
After breakfast at your hotel, check out and head to the airport for your flight to Xian.

Xian
You'll arrive in Xian, known for its ancient history and the Terracotta Army. Your driver meets you at the airport and takes you to your hotel. Once checked in, the rest of the day is yours to rest or explore on your own.

Xian
After breakfast, your guide and driver pick you up to visit the Terracotta Warriors, a major archaeological discovery from the 20th century. You'll see hundreds of life-size terracotta soldiers that were built between 246 and 206 BC for the tomb of China's First Emperor. Stop by the Terracotta Copy Factory to see how these figures are made. You'll have lunch, then continue to the Big Goose Pagoda, a Buddhist pagoda in southern Xian where you can experience the spiritual atmosphere. Head back to your hotel to check in for the night.
