Itinerary
- Day 1
Maun to Xakanaxa
You'll arrive at Maun International Airport and connect with your Mack Air charter flight around 14:00 heading to either Xakanaxa or Khwai Airstrip. Your guide meets you on the tarmac and handles the transfer to camp. By evening you're settled in for your first night camping in the Xakanaxa region.

Landmarks/POIs Moremi Game Reserve Xakanaxa - Days 2 - 3
Xakanaxa - Moremi Game Reserve
Two days of guided game drives take you through Moremi Game Reserve's varied terrain. You'll move between floodplains, papyrus channels, mopane woodlands, and open savannah while looking for African wild dogs, lions, leopards, and big buffalo groups. Lagoon areas give you chances to spot Wattled Cranes and the scarce Slaty Egret.

- Day 4
Moremi to Khwai Community Area
After breakfast you head toward the Khwai Community Area on the northeastern side of Moremi, right where it meets Chobe National Park. You'll stay at a private riverside camp and run day and night game drives hunting for elephants, buffalo, lions, and leopards. Khwai's known for birds like the Rosy-throated Longclaw and Bat Hawk too.

- Days 5 - 6
Khwai Community Area
You explore Khwai's range of habitats, from dry leadwood and camelthorn forests to wet floodplains and marshes. Morning and afternoon drives give solid chances for photos and wildlife encounters. The area holds over 400 bird types including Greater Painted Snipe, Lesser Jacana, and Martial Eagle, plus regular sightings of elephants, antelopes, giraffes, and hunting cats.

Khwai to Maun
After breakfast you take one more game drive heading toward Khwai Airstrip where you'll board your charter flight back to Maun. This wraps up your Botswana safari. If you're heading to other lodges afterward, you can connect directly from Khwai without returning to Maun.
