Itinerary
- Day 1
Delhi
You'll get picked up from the airport, railway station, or your hotel and start right away with a guided tour of Delhi. The day takes you through Jama Masjid first, then a rickshaw ride through the chaotic and colorful lanes of Chandni Chowk where you can take in the energy of the old market. From there, you'll pay respects at Raj Ghat, the memorial to Mahatma Gandhi, followed by drives past India Gate and the President's House to see the city's main landmarks. By evening, you'll end things at Bangla Sahib Sikh Temple, which offers a quiet contrast to the morning's hustle.

Delhi to Jaipur
After breakfast, you're driving roughly 5 to 6 hours (265 km) from Delhi toward Jaipur, Rajasthan's Pink City. Once you arrive, head to Birla Mandir Temple, a white marble structure built for Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi. The rest of your time here is flexible. You can stick around the hotel to rest up, or try optional activities like a cooking class that teaches traditional Rajasthani dishes, or sign up for a Jaipur by night jeep tour if you want to see the city after dark.

Jaipur

Start at Amber Fort up on the hill with its grand courtyards and views stretching across the city, then head down for photos at Hawa Mahal, the five-story Palace of Winds with its distinctive pink latticed structure. Next you'll walk through City Palace where part of the royal family still lives, and check out Jantar Mantar Observatory, a collection of astronomical instruments built centuries ago. You'll have free time later to shop for local handcrafted items and gemstones around the city.

When you arrive, visit Mehrangarh Fort, a massive fortification sitting high above the city with rooms and courtyards worth exploring. Then you'll walk through Jaswant Thada, a white marble memorial built in the 1800s, and finish by wandering through the Clock Tower Market in the old town where local vendors sell spices, textiles, and souvenirs.

On the way, you'll stop at Ranakpur Jain Temples to see the intricate marble carvings and detailed stone work inside, which is definitely worth the time. You'll arrive in Udaipur later in the day and check into your hotel, giving yourself time to settle in and maybe grab dinner.

Udaipur

In the afternoon, you'll hop into an open canter vehicle with other visitors for a shared jungle safari through the park. You'll be looking for tigers and leopards moving through their habitat, along with deer and various bird species that live there.

On the way, there's a stop at Fatehpur Sikri, the massive red sandstone city that Emperor Akbar built and then abandoned centuries ago. Once you reach Agra, you'll check in at your hotel and have the evening to yourself.

- Day 10
Agra
You're waking early to catch the sunrise at the Taj Mahal, one of the Seven Wonders and probably the most famous building in India. After breakfast, you'll visit Agra Fort, a UNESCO site with red stone walls and multiple courtyards from the Mughal era, then see Itimad-ud-Daulah, sometimes called the Baby Taj because of its similar marble inlay designs but smaller scale. In the afternoon, take a walking tour through the older parts of the city, and end the day with a spiritual fire ceremony at a local family's temple, which gives a different kind of experience than the monuments.

Agra to Delhi
The morning is yours to use as you like. There are optional tours available including a countryside cycle ride through villages, a visit to lesser-known monuments in Agra, or if you want to go further, you can visit Mathura and Vrindavan on your way back toward Delhi. After breakfast, you're driving about 4 hours (230 km) back to Delhi for your flight or train departure, with a transfer to the airport or railway station.
