Itinerary
- Day 1
Tirana
You'll arrive at Tirana airport and get transferred to your hotel, which takes around 30 minutes. After settling in, there's a group briefing where your tour leader walks through the details of your Albanian Alps trip. Later you'll take a walking tour of Tirana lasting about an hour, then head to dinner at a traditional restaurant.

- Day 2
Tirana - Koman Lake - Ujeze - Tropoja
A 2-hour transfer gets you to Koman Lake for one of Europe's best ferry rides across this artificial lake, taking around 2 hours. The ferry passes through mountainous terrain before reaching Fierze, and then a bus takes you to Ujeze where hiking starts. You'll follow shepherds' trails toward Kosovo through alpine terrain, with the highest point being a mountain pass at 1885m/6,185 ft. Stop at a shepherd hut for lunch and to see local mountain life, finishing with traditional home-cooked dinner.

Junik - Bjeshket e Nemuna National Park - Pllaqice
Leaving Junik, you'll ascend through alpine pastures toward the Albanian border with views of Bjeshket e Nemuna National Park and its highest peak, Gjeravica at 2656m/8,714 ft in Kosovo. Near Gjeravica you'll reach a glacial lake where you can swim and relax. The area has brown bears, wild boars, wild goats, golden eagles, and gray wolves living there. You'll descend to a guesthouse in Pllaqice for the night.

Pllaqice - Trekufiri - Doberdol
This hike takes you through wild landscape with shepherd huts and alpine pastures covered in wild blueberries. You'll trek through blueberry fields while ascending to Trekufiri, a natural three-border peak where Albania, Kosovo, and Montenegro meet, offering views across all three countries. From there you continue to Doberdol, which has some of the best alpine pastures in the Albanian Alps.

Doberdol - Gashi Nature Park - Cerem
Starting from Doberdol, you'll follow shepherds' trails and ascend through forest and meadows with blueberries, passing shepherd huts near Gashi Nature Park, a UNESCO site. The Gashi River Valley is also UNESCO-recognized. You'll stop at a local bar-café for food before descending to Cerem, and briefly cross into Montenegro along the way for views of Albanian Alps peaks.

Cerem - Bori Pass - Vusanje
Hiking through Cerem's highlands, you'll cross the remote border into Montenegro through pine and beech forest, then ascend alpine pastures below Bori Peak. At Bori Pass you get views of the Albanian Alps and Prokletije National Park. The trail continues to Vusanje village in Montenegro, your destination for today.

Vusanje - Jezerca Peak - Rossi Pass - Valbona
After a 30-minute transfer, you'll hike through Valbona Valley National Park while crossing from Montenegro back into Albania. The trail goes through pine and beech forest, then ascends alpine pastures below Jezerca Peak. At Rossi Pass you'll see panoramic views of the Albanian Alps and its highest peak Jezerca, plus views of Prokletije National Park. You'll then descend through alpine pastures to your hotel.

Valbona
This is your rest day in Valbona Valley. You can relax and recover from previous hikes, or if you want to stay active, there's an optional short hike available to explore other parts of the valley.

- Day 9
Valbona - Valbona Pass - Theth
One of the most beautiful hikes awaits as you head through forest and alpine pastures to Valbona Pass, the day's highest point, with views of both Valbona and Theth Valleys. You'll have a picnic lunch overlooking Valbona Valley with its wide riverbed and mountains all around. After lunch you'll descend to Theth village for the night.

Theth
You'll explore Theth Valley and experience local mountain life by walking through the village. Visit the Roman Catholic Church built in 1892 and the Lock-in tower, locally called 'Kulla,' which has a unique history tied to blood feuds and the 'Kanun' highland law code. You'll spend time inside the tower before following a marked path to Grunas Waterfall and returning to the village.

Theth - Blue Eye - Shkoder
A 15-minute transfer takes you to Nderlysaj, then you'll hike to the Blue Eye, a natural mountain spring where you can swim in cold water. After lunch, there's about a 2-hour transfer to Shkoder, where your mountain adventure comes to an end.

Shkoder to Tirana Airport
An organized transfer picks you up from your hotel and takes you to Tirana International Airport, a journey of around 1 hour 30 minutes, for your departure.
