- Day 1
Tokyo
You'll arrive in Japan and clear customs, then take a shared shuttle bus to your hotel. The rest of the day is open for you to unwind and get settled in. Tour details come through in the afternoon so you'll know what's ahead.

- Day 2
Tokyo
A five-hour guided tour takes you through Tokyo's neighborhoods, starting at Zojoji Temple where you'll see Tokyo Tower. From there, you'll experience the famous Shibuya Crossing, then head to Meiji Shrine and the Imperial Palace. After driving through Akihabara's electric district, you'll go up Tokyo Skytree for city views. Later in the afternoon, you'll reach Sensoji Temple and walk Nakamise Street in Asakusa. By evening, the subway gets you to Shinjuku for a walk through the busy area before dinner at a local restaurant, then back to your hotel by subway with your guide.

- Day 3
Tokyo to Kawaguchiko
You'll travel to the Mount Fuji area and stop at Arakurayama Sengen Park for iconic views of Mount Fuji with pagodas nearby. Moving on to Kawaguchiko lakeside town, you'll visit Fuji Sengen Shrine with its tall trees, the traditional starting point for Mount Fuji pilgrimages. A boat ride on Lake Kawaguchiko comes next, then you'll drive up Mount Fuji to the Fifth Station at 7,562 feet through forested areas. Back in Kawaguchiko, you'll spend the night at a traditional ryokan where you can soak in an onsen (hot spring bath).

- Day 4
Kawaguchiko to Kyoto
In the morning, a scenic route around lakes takes you to Iyashi no Sato Nenba, a restored traditional village rebuilt after a 1966 typhoon. You'll walk through converted houses now running as arts and crafts shops and restaurants. Next is Shiraito Falls with water dropping 20 meters. Then you'll head to Nagoya to see the Toyota Museum, after that continuing on to Kyoto for the night.

- Day 5
Kyoto
Kyoto's your focus today, Japan's former capital until 1868. Starting in Arashiyama, you'll see the Togetsukyo Bridge, then visit Tenryuji Temple, one of Kyoto's five great Zen temples and a UNESCO site. A walk through the bamboo forest follows. You'll check out Fushimi Inari Shrine, the Imperial Palace, and Kinkakuji Temple (Golden Pavilion) with its gardens. Free time afterward lets you wander Gion, the traditional district where you can spot geishas.

- Day 6
Kyoto to Osaka
You'll travel to Nara and visit Todaiji, a Buddhist temple from 752 housing a giant Buddha statue, plus you can interact with deer roaming the park freely. After that, Horyu-ji Buddhist Temple, a UNESCO site with some of the world's oldest wooden structures and Japan's oldest Buddhist temple. Later you'll reach Osaka by evening, then head to Dotonbori for the colorful nightlife district with all its energy.
