Good and interesting trip. Good sights and Ok hotels. As English speakers we found the program and interaction between guides and guests on the tour to be VERY dominated by Spanish speaking - at least 2 thirds of communication was done in Spanish and often we did not receive the same information. We had one guide, David, joining us for the last 3 days who were extremely attentive to the Spanish Speaking group and did not leave any room for the very pleasant English speaking guide Katano. We found him extremely annoying - talking on and on and on on the bus microphone in Spanish - but failing to give the actual practical information needed. Katano was good and attentive but did not have a fair chance to attend the English speaking group properly. A problem on the tour is that the bus was leaving hotels and arriving in the tourist spots at the exact same time as other tour buses leading to some very crowded sights and restaurants. Breakfast was quite difficult with so many people att he breakfast buffet at the exact same time and many of the other travellers extremely "pushy".

What made my entire trip worthwhile was having Ken as our guide. I was one of the fortunate few, that had Ken Igarashi for most of the trip. Being a history aficionado, appreciated his detailed explanation of every location and site we visited. Also, shared some information on Shinto deities, Japan and Samurai histories. All hotels and transportation on this trip were excellent.

I loved this trip. I enjoyed every minute of it. Jose was a great guide. He was very informative. He made sure everyone was looked after. There was just enough touring and spare time. And David Solanes was brilliant. I cannot recommend this tour highly enough.

The tour is organized well and we enjoyed the tour. The weather is not cooperating. Rains and cloudy a lot. We missed the opportunity to see Mt Fuji. But that is not the fault of this tour.

The tour was overall good but our guide, David Solanese, was excellent. He was very friendly and helpful especially to our mom who is 88 years old. He was attentive to her and constantly checked on her to see if she was alright. Mom was in an emergency situation while in Kyoto and David was helpful in directing us to the proper facility. Thanks to him, she got the prompt treatmen. Some of the sights were not so interesting but David made up for the loss. We greatly appreciate his service.

Overall, the trip was an excellent experience throughout all categories. At first, the transfer from airport to hotel on arrival was a bit confusing, but was handled quickly by the tour's rep with one call. If you are fortunate enough to have Ken Igarashi as a guide, (which I had for most of the trip), his profound knowledge of Japan's history, religions, and modern issues made this travel experience worthwhile. Be prepared for long breakfast lines at some hotels, but you will get to eat. You will meet numerous travelers from different regions of the world in this tour of central Japan.
